Thing is I had asthma when i was about 5-6 had it for a while but my mum says i now have 'mild asthma' as i dont wheeze over night, but I know i'll always have asthma and it could affect me later on in life

Your mom should acknowledge you and emotionally support you, not dismiss your sympthoms or feelings. Actually, she should lead and _show_ you how to feel instead of judging.
Asthma is as much psychological problem as it is physiological, and it's likely your parents' parenting style is in large part responsible your asthma, and asthma is not the only problem you'll be left with - it's just more visible and tangible than others.
Good news is, later in life, maybe in your 20s or 30s, you can return to your childhood and cure yourself through a lot of psychological work, preferrably with a therapist.

There are several things for treating asthma naturally
      Kick Out the Mites.
      Check Air Quality Reports.
      Clear the Smoke.
(I learned these and the reasons they work from Laken chest remedy website )

@@ekek9796 This doesn't treat asthma. You're merely suggesting removing few random allergens. Allergen removal should be based on actual test for reaction on allergens, not randomly. And people should remove mites in any case, with or without asthma, why would anyone sleep in a mite-infested bed?..
And checking air quality reports won't help - people should check air pollen reports if they want to plan their life around reducing amount of allergens.
Again though, this doesn't 'treats" asthma in any way.

Asthma has a banal cause and is a failure to understand lip closure. As long as I had chronic asthma I had no feeling for the relaxation of my lung airways by reflex when breathing in through my nose and holding lips together. The cure came with getting the right sensation and avoiding nose breathing. In time asthma due to airway remodeling was cured.

I would take your child to your family physician or pediatrician and ask for a referral to a respirologist or allergist. They'll help you sort out what's going on.

    Dr. K.P. Buteyko once said:
“To test the validity of the scientific discovery we made almost 30 years ago, it takes 30 seconds of time: offer an asthmatic hyperventilation - he will have a suffocation attack, offer to reduce breathing - will relieve the attack. The cause of the asthma attack is hyperventilation of the lungs, no one said this before our scientific research. And so I have been asking scientists for 30 years to spend 30 seconds to check this (1986).”
