I am a newbie, but understand the concepts since I also have a Cricut. This was very helpful, especially the part about using the control dots to edit, and also image tracing. Thank you!!!
First of all thank you so much for taking the time to demonstrate this tutorial I really appreciate it I did hear where you said you could only download certain files what about SVGs?
Geese... I had no idea how to do this until now! I have had the image tracing activated since it became available and have never actually used it!!! I always wondered how to use png's, jpg's, bmp's..... You are amazing! Thank you
Thank you your always a big help. It’s a hassle to keep looking for ways to use the ScanNCut. Especially for newbies. Make book to explain the different procedures, that would be awesome. The manual helps ..but not enough. Thanks anyway.
yeah It worked thank you so much I had a download file that was not being recognised I followed your steps everything worked out perfect thank you Julie for your video
The only files I've traced so far are silhouettes of stamped images, so I can cut the shapes (I have a DesignNCut). This video makes me want to get a little more adventurous and cut parts from different colors!
I can follow what you are doing when I use the on line canvas work space but not on my downloaded version. Can this only be done using the on line site?
Thank you so much for this video. Am close to success, working on a Christmas stocking. Question, I was able to follow the image tracing and editing, but how do you create the fcm file and how did you send to machine?

Julie ... I was just wondering how to do this. Perfect timing 😊. I do have a question though. I want to use my DX to cut out quilting appliqués. How do I make certain that the size remains at 100%, rather than enlarging or decreasing?
Hi Julie, I’m wondering how to convert jpg to brothers pro 1050x embroidery software? Do you have any videos you’ve mad before or if you have any suggestions. Thank you in advance
I’m so frustrated with Brother! I got a new email address so I wanted a new login. I went to the Brother help line and no one could help me. So how am I supposed to know if they don’t know!
It is not possible to convert a .cwprj to a .jpeg in CanvasWorkspace. For more information on converting files, please see the answer link below: help.brother-usa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/74165 If you have any more questions, please contact Brother Customer Service directly at: www.brother-usa.com/support
Question: so when you open up the file and choose it, choose 2 or 3 colors, etc., then the preview shows you nothing on a 75dpi image of a quilting feather, and when you click ok and it asks you if you want to paste the selected image in the work area and you say "no" it disappears, what is going on? When I answer "yes", it is on the work area, but they aren't lying that it cannot be edited. Can you help with this?
Hi, Laurie! Yes, if you bring in the image, you won't be able to delete from the page. You can use as a reference while working on your pattern. You can group the pieces and move off of the image for better viewing and to edit it. When you save it, the image does not save on the page, just your pattern. Hope this helps!
I'm trying to import a JPG file into my brother ScanNCut SDX (Disney Model) - when I import (image trace) my import box does "not" look like yours. And as much as I try, I cannot select an area to import. It brings i n the whole graphic (A4 page). Also it comes in as grouped and locked. Basically it means that I can't convert JPGs into FCMs. Can you tell me what is going on?
... I've just FOUND IT ... you are using an ONLINE VERSION OF CANVAS WORKSPACE (whereas I've been using the downloaded application on my PC). wow - Please mention that because there are significant differences between the two programs! I can't believe I've wasted so much time. I bought my machine in January 2020 - I've hardly used it - there is literally no support here in Australia - The place where I bought it from is hopeless, Brother won't answer my emails, etc! And of course it hasn't worked as I expected ... looks like I will need to scan directly to my machine.

It sure would be helpful if Julie or Brother would answer some of these questions.

I've used brother scan n cut for a year or two and then recently bought a cutter plotter and I have to say brother scan n cut sucks
Achei o suporte para canetas diversas no site www.atelierlepassion.com.br/c-941322-Acessorios-para-Scan-N-Cut--Brother
The problem I have is that brother sucks at tracing images, so is there any other way to convert?
