Just found your channel. Great to see someone else making videos on these W123 300TD’s. Great ingenuity shown! Keep up the good work.

for your rough warm idle also check out the rack damper bolt behind the injection pump. its a 14mm lock nut with a 12mm bolt. you can adjust that to really fine tune your idle assuming everything else is working well (glow plugs, injectors, valves, fuel filters, etc.)

Thank you. I have a feeling the injectors may need a rebuild. But It might be worth a try. When it returns to idle while slowing down when driving, it's very noticeable. It surges up and down as it finds an idle. I was thinking maybe the rack damper setting might be an issue.

Thanks. I'm really enjoying driving it. I'm looking forward to how it will sound with a straight pipe. I'm definitely gonna do some videos with the camaro. I'm hoping to at least have it driving this summer. It used to be my father's car that he had since 1985.

Doesn’t the S123 have a soft close mechanism on the boot door like the S124?

I don't think so. There is no electronics or vacuum at the latch that would do that. The vacuum solenoid is only connected to the lock.

Dang Gary once Elon hires you , you'll be high class. Your rigging days will be over lol. I guarantee buddy that we've pimped a $400 ride that we stitched up. And had twice the pride in it then most driving a $40,000 vehicle.. K. Stretched my trail tractor , lowered my seat, chunked fenders, put '82 Murray hood, installed steering knuk off Toyota 4×4. Thursday going up rd thinking how much better it drives stretched. Lol my Rigged drag arm came off steering box. I hooked a imidiate left and hit my neighbors brick gate wall around 32mph. I'll finish up getting what is still good switched over to another craftsman frame this evening.. Sorry so long but had to let you know that I'm banged up cause of you and your Hot Rod Tractor lol.

Hahaha, thank you, brother. I appreciate it. I'm gonna have to start putting an "At your own risk" disclaimer at the beginning of my videos, lol. Hope you're OK 👍

Like your show, but one problem: I can't hear you talk very on video, especially when you are in your car driving

Thank you. I thought that might be a problem. I'll have to improve on that in the future. Thanks for the input, and thanks for watching
