It fizzled up and cleaned right away I still let it sit for 5 min. I haven't worn my necklace for 3 years because I couldn't get it clean!!!! Thank You MAMA❤❤❤❤
Thank you for this video. I spent almost $400.00 on a sterling silver necklace from a company called grimfrost and recently started to tarnish bad. I watched a few videos of this process and your video was so much better then others. Again thank you for this video.
At first I did not really believe this but I saw this again and tried it out on my sterling silver jewelry and I was so happy thank you so much you just gained a subscriber ❤️
Thank you for sharing this. I had always used toothpaste and an old toothbrush to clean my jewelery. I had a tiffany style silver bracelet that I had not worn in over 15 years that had so much tarnish inside the links. Toothpaste was not cutting it, did this method and it looks better than ever. A quick tip for you all, store your jewelry inside a polishing cloth. It will prevent it from tarnishing. I just forgot to add this bracelet since learning this trick years ago.
PERFECT. I wish I would have taken an before and after pic. My James Avery scroll bracelet was BLACK and within 3 minutes, shiny and new looking. P.S. Skip to 3:30 if you just want to see the procedure and skip the talking in the beginning.
If you want to recover more brilliance, try to let in warm water with dawn or soft handsoap for like 15 minutes, brush with a old thootbrush and clean with a jewelry cleaning cloth (which you can find at most jewelry stores), they'll become like brand new
Worked GREAT! I had just called the Tiffany store and they didn't answer. I'm going on vacation & wanted to take my silver. I let it sit for 5 minutes & it's sparkling. Thanks for posting this video.
No need to be embarrassed. I bought mine in 2005 and I'm almost positive it was 250. And now it's jumped to 800...crazy. The toggle necklace. I actually bought the bracelet and some hoop earrings. I'm almost positive that I walked out of there spending about 500 bucks! It's insane. I know silver goes up..but it didn't go up THAT much. And I was told for all three back then by my mom that it was entirely too expensive. haha. I cleaned mine some kind of way with baking soda and water..and they mostly came clean but they still have a little antique silver look. I don't know how shiny they are supposed to get.
I’ve tried it but it works better with other silver jewelry, when I used it on my Tiffany cuff, like you, it also took me three shots, to the point where I also rubbed the bracelet with a toothbrush as well. It works less on Tiffany items, I don’t know why
I have a sterling and diamond 💍 ring that was given to me 15+ years ago. I stopped wearing it because it was so dirty looking. I ran across this process and it looks like new. A favorite piece of jewelry that I thought needed to be thrown away I can wear again and not feel embarrassed.
They are going to be worth a lot more as silver rises in value. No matter the form it is in, it will always carry its melt weight value in silver, minus the percent worth of non-silver metal in the alloy.
Another super easy way to remove tarnish is to take your toothbrush and some toothpaste and just brush the jewelry! Before brushing the jewelry rinse the jewelry with just regular water (cold or room temp) then wet your toothbrush with the toothbrush and just keep brushing until they get sparkles!
I believe you could get those even brighter, and I know a much easier way to not only clean them but make them SHINE. I have a silver chain, and when I want to clean it, I pour a small amount of TARN-X liquid into a bowl and drop the chain in and the chain cleans instantly, although I still leave it for a few minutes just to make sure I'm getting maximum shine. You can take a toothpick or anything really and stir the jewelry around or just jiggle the bowl. Then a real good rinse under warm water and dry it on a regular towel or paper towel. Do.Did.DONE!
Ok, When I do it myself it never lasts. Went to my local jeweler. He cleaned my Tiffany ❤️necklace & matching❤️ bracelet. What an amazing job!! Looks radiantly sparkly new but cost me 40. Let’s see how long it lasts.
Right?! I just tend to keep jewelry no matter what, especially if it was expensive but was ABOUT to put this on poshmark. Thankfully I found a solution, but at least you learned your lesson! I’ve definitely done that before too!
You threw it out?! I hope that means you sold it…or gave it away even. Even if it’s not your aesthetic of the moment, Tiffany&Co. jewelry ALWAYS appreciates in value. Always. It’s something you can pass down. Tiffany&Co isn’t a trend. They are classic, timeless heirloom pieces. Please y’all don’t throw Tiffany jewelry out. Please. Check the prices of the pieces you have. I’m serious. Heirloom pieces that appreciate in value over time.
I just bout jewelry cleaner from Walmart only May be 5 dollars and clean May be 50 pieces . Some times 5 piece together for only 15 seconds and turn out like new . Very easy and I am very happy with it .so easy For me it is great
Hi. I put the silver in the soda for 2-3 minutes, but it is still brown. Any, recommendations in making the silver more silver instead of brown. I use the foil, hot water. I think I should let the chain stay in the water for 5 minutes like Monica. I am open to ideas.
I just did and was not working , I added lemon 🍋 and mix it with baking powder, then add hot water and after my jewelry looks pretty shiny and perfect . Thank you
I totally didn't think it'd work. I had a very tarnished James Avery bracelet. It was way more tarnished than yours. So I went and tried it cause I want to wear my charm bracelet again. It worked wonders. Just a heads up to anyone who tries this and your jewelry had a darkness to it to make it looked aged some of that will come off it did on mine so just be aware of that part. This did the job though.
I used it on my james avery bracelet too but had like a weird residue in the light kinda dirty brownjsh orange and its sterling silver should i do it longer
@@user-rw3op3kr7u I rinsed mine and washed it with soap and water. Try doing that if it doesn't work then I would do it a little longer. I did it a few times on my bracelet I think like 3 times.
Oh also..I always say...i'd rather have an engagement ring from Tiffanys that is a quarter of a karat than a huge cheap ring. A lot of people don't understand you get what you pay for more than any other jewelry with Tiffany. Plus the smaller the diamond..the more real it looks...right? Try to sell a kay jewelery engagement ring to a jeweler and you will see...that diamond doesn't even matter. You get melt value only! I encourage anyone to buy Tiffany with something as important as your wedding bands..with something you wear everyday. Not to say you are gonna gain anything off of your Tiffany jewelry..you might...you might get back what you paid..I think it just depends. But you would definitely see the difference in someone's reaction to buying old Tiffany than something like kay.
Why is it that no matter what I do to keep my sterling covered and put away nicely it still tarnishes. I stopped buying Sterling bc of this. I buy only real gold. It just sucks that sterling tarnishes Soo quickly.
Hello. You know why is like black because that necklace do not have rodium plated. It's just sterling silver and this with the always put dark. Any jewelry must put in a bag separately. This is the only way that jewel I always brilliant
you have too much acid in your body. add salt with your baling soda. let set 5 minutes. aluminum shinny side up and fit it to your bowl, not all bunched up move around in bowl some do Not take the out to look at them. If you need them to shine more use Colgate tooth paste and tooth brush is best to clean your silver!
Hi maam , i want heart tiffany pendant..my sister give me a tiffany neclace, but i want a heart pendant..but if you give me as a gift, im very much appreciated❤
Girl.. 😂 ur hygiene doesn’t connect ur sterling silver being tarnished 😂 it’s really natural, if u are acidic or ur water u use during taking a bath, chemicals u applied to ur body while the jewelry is on… so it’s nothing to do with ur HYGIENE 😂😂😂😂 And also, if u want to shine ur pendant more.. just use baking soda, rub it directly on the pendant like sanding it using the baking soda with cloth
It doesn't help you getting more subscribers if you say you'd go to the Tiffany store to get it cleaned for free but " were in a pandemic I don't know if you know that " - who the heck doesn't know about the pandemic pray tell ?
It fizzled up and cleaned right away I still let it sit for 5 min. I haven't worn my necklace for 3 years because I couldn't get it clean!!!! Thank You MAMA❤❤❤❤
Wanted to take a before and after picture, but it doesn't allow you to.
yay glad it worked for you!
this saved my life!!! i totally thought i took a $10,000 L on multiple pieces before this video. sobbed for days. you’re an angel!! thanks girl! 💖✨
yay I'm so glad!

Does jt work with james avery silver charm bracelet too i tried it but still looks dirty

thanks, I'll try this too!
I would use a soft toothbrush, anything stiff can add swirl scratches in the silver.
I would also avoid scrubbing with baking soda because isn't it an abrasive? (quick google search is divided on this).
A crown royal bag works just as nice and soft as a jewelry cleaning rag because of the material
Now your necklace is 825, it's amazing at how expensive their jewelry is now.
This is brilliant. I tried this and it worked and works wonders. Fabulous, brilliant, amazing 😃
I did it and all of my silver and gold are beautiful. I love Alex n Ani and it cleaned all the tarnish off. Thank you so much.
Worked GREAT! I had just called the Tiffany store and they didn't answer. I'm going on vacation & wanted to take my silver. I let it sit for 5 minutes & it's sparkling. Thanks for posting this video.
Thanks for the content Monica! Will do that with my chain. By the way, you have a beautiful smile! You really highlight the wonders of baking soda.

It worked great. My chain like yours is sparkling again. I dried it after paper towel with the polishing cloth. ( fresh baking soda too).

1:17 girl said she’d throw them away 😂😂
Me: looking in that garbage can 👀😂

I clean mine with a silver jewelry cleaner then use the T&Co polish to give it more of a shine. The T&Co polish cloth works really well too.
When she said should I throw them away, I was like. In dumpster diving at your house

I have NEVER been more upset with myself for throwing my Tiffany heart tag out BC I thought she was a relic of 2000s past 🤡

“And we’re in a global pandemic idk if you guys know that” queen tingz 🤝❤️thx so much
I have the 925 on the back 😊😊😊😊
I have the same choker & im so sad it tarnished! Especially for how much i paid for it lol. Ty for this!
Dish soap also does wonders! Warm water and dish soap!
Can someone tell me what the total length of the chain is?
Hi. I put the silver in the soda for 2-3 minutes, but it is still brown. Any, recommendations in making the silver more silver instead of brown. I use the foil, hot water. I think I should let the chain stay in the water for 5 minutes like Monica. I am open to ideas.

I'm a brand new subscriber watching from London UK 🇬🇧❤️
I also threw away my Tiffany's sterling silver heart that I got in 2001 because of how tarnished it looked. Now I regret it 😩
Oh no! Well now we know how to fix!
Can I use salt as a subsitute for the baking powder?
Rubbing with a silver polishing cloth after the treatment would’ve made this brand new
Just boiling water to soften the sebum then brush with old tooth brush and toothpaste! Rub toothpaste with rug then rinse to polish
Hi, this looks like something I might try.
Just tried it, and it works great ...Thank you!!!💞
I have sterling silver rings with Stones in them and under the stone is a cork to hold stone in place with prongs. I would not submerge these.
Oh wow left mine in 20 minutes looks brand new
There’s a Tiffany necklace I’ve never worn and it tarnished in the box after 1-2 years
You can go for a fith round and this time use a soft baby toothbrush and clean them with dawn soap.
How to clean tarnished copper jewelry?
wait it turned out so good wtf
no I know! I was like, truly shocked
Get a buffer blanket! It cleans the Silver Sulfide off in minutes
I'll probably need 3 boxes of baking soda for my bracelet and necklace. I imagine I'll have to repeat at least 5x because they are indeed black.

I used to do this but I bought the polish cloth from James Avery for $6 it is Worth it ! My jewelry looks brand new .. and takes away small scratches
I used it on my james avery bracelet too but had like a weird residue in the light kinda dirty brownjsh orange and its sterling silver should i do it longer

Toooo long intro
Lawwwd Jezzzzzzzussss YASS. She was 3-1/2 minutes just "jaw-jackin'" That burns me up. I just wanna know what I need to do. (LoL)
why do we need to add an aluminiium foil to go with it anyone ?

This was so fun but.... that was wild
No and, I KNEW you’d have this reaction😂😂😂
It really was a wild ride huh
I AM HERE FOR THE EXACT SAME REASON I JUST FOUND MY 2 TIFANNY & CO BRACELET THAT I IGNORED FOR YEARS😭
OMG lmk how it turns out!!
Worked. Thanks babe

You shouldnt be embarrassed. Tarnish doesnt mean dirty. Some people havent worn their jewelry for a while so it does tarnish
This was so helpful! Thumbs up
yay! I'm glad:)
With the clapping hands too emphasis your point so well
Tried mine but does not work.
Also with sea water
Perfect thanks! ❤
Great video

Hi maam , i want heart tiffany pendant..my sister give me a tiffany neclace, but i want a heart pendant..but if you give me as a gift, im very much appreciated❤
Hey girl! New subby!
The necklace goes for $750 now 😩
FYI Tiffany's has lifetime cleaning.
This leaves scratches
Video stares at 3:20 …………
So cute lol “rotten eggs”. Silly girl
I have a lot of Tiffany jewelry & it sucks that as much money as we pay for this jewelry that it wouldn’t turn as ugly & tarnished as it does 😕
"Global pandemic", says who? The UN? WHO CARES?
A 600+ price tag for like 50 dollars worth of silver and not even pure silver. Lol
Right..too long intro
you're pretty
If you tell right away the procedure rather than telling your story which obviously I am not interested . Too many chat chat
You have a pretty nose ❤
To much small talk
