Mr. J might be very disappointed in your recommendations after he realizes he could have very easily yielded double your 4 by 8 can yield double that of your 4 by 4 and if not maxed out a little room for some air flow. let's lead this first time grower to a successful Harvest however I will agree with your ceramic metal halide recommendation only for veg however hortilux released the ceramic high pressure sodium which is better suited for flowering not to mention if you were to fill your 3 by 3 canopy you would need a 6 by 6 by the time you're finished flowering let's not forget that most hybrids now will damn near double in size from the onset of flower
I'd agree best grow shop for beginners. If you actually want to learn your individual plants and feed accordingly. Start mixing your own nutes. Best place for horticulture grade supplies I've found is customhydro.

4x4 flower i would veg under a 3x3 with a 315 cmh, 630 cmh for the 4x4
