I’m just learning the crawl and your lessons were very helpful . I will revisit this video a lot and practice everything you’ve shown . Thank you so much and I look forward to seeing more of your techniques .
Best video I’ve seen for teaching all aspects of front crawl in one. We have been practising in our paddling pool in anticipation of the pools opening again! Would love to see some Dryland videos. Thanks.
This video is not tailored towards STA scheme of work. Every child will have their own individual limitations depending on age and ability. Teach these practices until it becomes to difficult for the perform.
I am the beginner so I have difficulty in breathing or maybe am just old 😊.my couch insists to the breath in 10 seconds and doing 4 times paddling/ crawling which is very difficult. I was thinking this and now I know that I should take a breath after gliding like you did in the video so I have enough air in my lungs ,will try tomorrow. after watching so many videos from others only you give me the answer, thank you! I will like to watch “how to breathing “while swimming
hi again couch ! I still don't get how to breathing ,I feeling so bad. it's about exhale and inhale. do I have to exhale from my nose or from my mouth or both together? when I inhale my body feels heavy and sinking. what should I do? thank you
Tayba Emerald Take a look at this video on breathing techniques. Try all 3 techniques and see which one works best for you. ruclips.net/video/S2QwNC7n8Eg/видео.html I hope this helps?
thank you! thank you!! for this down to earth one-video-nail-it-all. I will certainly put this to practice. hope this will help me master the trick of the game as a beginer. God bless
Thanks for the comment, I'm very happy to hear that the video has helped. Can you tell me what worked well for you and maybe something that didn't work so well?
well, I just wasn't able to get my breathing technique down coz water would always end up up nose or I'd swallow a lot of water..haha...but I think how you explained it step by step and also watching you demonstrate the stroke...I noticed you came up to breathe just as soon as your arm went in..I think I was taking breaths when my arm was coming out so water would splash all over my face... Id actually given up on the freestyle but I'm practicing now..and no water up my nose or in my mouth today. I can't think of anything that didn't go well, except for the fact that coz I'm a beginner I tire quickly...
Hello Priya, Thanks for the reply. The easier option is to look behind you instead of sideways. If you look over your should as you go to take a breath this should be easier and less likely to swallow water. ;)
Will you do an adult beginner front crawl when you have time, arms and frog kick? and how about regaining standing position from on your back? only ask as your vids are so easy to follow
Watching tons of learning how to swim videos led me to this one, great job. I'm 42 and trying to learn, it's been tough. My legs always sink when trying to alternate hands using a kick board. How do I avoid that? Thank you.
Are you pushing the kick board down or forward. When starting out it’s very easy to put pressure and all hopes and fears on it. I am 40 and been learning to swim via RUclips videos for nearly a month. Front crawl is not easy. I practise almost everyday and there days where there is no progress at all. Or so it seems. I just managed to finally do the stroke and breathe a few round before sinking completely but it’s all about practise
@@ShweMyaukMyauk Come to think of it, I don't even know, maybe I put too much strength on it. Will try to push it forward next time. Thanks for your comment, it is not easy for sure. Almost all YT instructors say that you should start with Free Style.
I am a beginning swimmer. I used to run 4 to 5 miles a day until my knees got to hurting so bad I needed an alternative. I watched probably close to a hundred videos and had heard of the hand tag method of the front crawl, but nobody showed doing it while using a ring. Now, using the ring, I glide more between strokes and have slowed myself down. My breathing is more controlled and I can stroke rhythmically which makes for more even breaths and I don't find myself gasping for air. My question is : where can I find one of these rings to buy for myself so that I can put it in my swim bag and train with it?
This is amazing feedback! I’m thrilled to hear you found swimming as an alternative sport! The fact that you’ve watched over 100 videos and you’ve found this video most useful is incredible! I’m pleased it’s helped you so much. Great video. I will apply the breathing technique. Can you please do a video on flutter kick? I'm a bit muscle and get sunk easily. I can't keep up after 4 to 5 kicks. I can swim with the floppers ok. Any tips? Thanks in advance
Thank you, We appreciate the feedback. We are currently filming a series of weekly videos, there will be a flutter kick video coming in the near future. Be sure to subscribe so you will be notified of new videos. Thanks.
Hello Nathaniel, I am learning to swim for last 8 months. I can swim on my back, push and glide. My teacher says my body alignment is good. The moment I start my hand movement my legs stops kicking. If I manage to move hands and legs, breathing seems to be challenge. I cannot swim sideways, holding disc in one hand. Please suggest. Thank you.
Hello Shailhem, thank you for sharing. Continue to practice the superman to master the breathing. If it's to difficult with the disc you need more buoyancy. Revert back to the float or tied up noodle. Get the head turn 100% comfortable before you progress. ;) i hope this helps.
Amazing!! I go to the swim specialist at sandal with Stuart you may already know and I really like it there because it is very fun than my other swimming school I didn't like my other swimming school because it wasn't fun I hope you read this coment 😀👍👍👍 I will subscribe too and make more!!!
My own big question that no one ever mentions/answers, when you take the breath in, are you pushing out the breath UNDER the water? I used to swim the length of the pool, and tilted my head for the breath, but what I was really doing was holding my breath the entire time. I would just be exhausted when I would finish one lap. I think I’m old enough now to really learn how to swim. It’s the breath thing that I don’t understand.
Hey Mary, here’s everything you need to know regarding breathing techniques. ruclips.net/video/S2QwNC7n8Eg/видео.html Try trickle breathing for long distance and explosive breathing for short distance sprints! Let me know if this helps.
Hey,it has been since 6 months I learnt swimming n doing it regularly...but still I find difficult to co-ordinate especially if I do arm action,my kick stop automatically..how to perform both simultaneously..guide... can u share ur email
Hello Hemil, Thank you for the message. There is another video on frontcrawl which may help. The last challenge is all about the timing of the stroke. If you count in your head 1,2,3.. 4,5,6.. this will help sync your arms, legs and breathing.. Take a look.ruclips.net/video/i6vIFdTy5Uc/видео.html We have a facebook page which will allow to comment directly. Alternatively feel free to reply to these comments. Is there anything else we can help with?
The Swim Specialist .. thanks.. will try that n let you know... will ask so many queries if u don't mind...one more suggestion is that post some videos with bigger pool n mentioning all basics front crawl n other methods either u r performing or on other adult n u just explaining...
Ask somebody to video your stroke, then repeat whilst telling yourself to bring out of the water a 'high elbow'. Meaning your elbow exits the water first upon recovery.
Amazing tips, thank you!
You’re welcome ☺️

Stretching is a major key point! Stretch your hands and legs when kicking. Elongate your body as much as possible. 👍🏼💙

You’ll know when you’re ready. 👍🏼
