Thank you for watching this video on the Swim England Learn To Swim outcomes for stage 2. Keep an eye out for stage 3 outcomes which will be coming soon!
Thank you so much..im doing the exam to become a swimming assistant..and I needed help with practical tests.. This helped me so much to understand how I might have to assist stage 2 swimmers.. I will check your other videos as well.. Much appreciated
Thanks Dan for the video…my child is in Africa and has learnt your techniques by herself….think she can handle SE stage 3….she can swim 25m without any floatation equipment
@@SaskiaRobe Thanks Saskia, they tweak the rules quite a bit so I wasn't sure if they had reverted to allowing flotation. It's interesting that Stage 4s can kick 10m with / without a piece of equipment and some 2s still need their noodles to keep a streamlined body so that they are able to kick decently. It's good to watch how other centres are doing things, so thanks :).
Further to my earlier comment I still can't find anywhere that run swimming lessons for adults that are a convenient time. So can you tell me if the outcomes and stages are the same for an adult who is an aquaphobic? If they are I can teach myself.
These outcomes are more suited to primary school aged children but there's no issue with you using some of the outcomes to help you out in your swimming
Most leisure centres in the UK offer adult lessons. We have a range of swimming tutorials on our channel, is there anything in particular you're wanting to learn?
I want to learn right from the start. The last leisure centre I contacted re adult swimming lessons told me there was an 18 month waiting list. So I didn't bother. But now I want to learn to scuba dive so I thought I'd better learn to swim.

Fantastic explanation. Thanks Dan

it really helped😁
These are all very well Dan but I need to know the progressive practices for these outcomes for the SE Lvl 2 lesson plans, not so easy for a log roll.
Niss work i can't wait
Fore swimming wen may butadiene im 10 years old at June 9 day 👍 👍
Great videos, but it would be much better if the text was smaller so it doesn't block so much of the picture.
Dan, did you perform this video in the shallow end?
I did yeah. You can go to the deep end if you feel comfortable there though
@@PropulsionSwimming thanks, but I'm fine in the shallow end because I'm not too good at front swimming yet.
You'll get there with practice 😊
If you've got anymore questions, let us know!

Hey Dan, nice videos but on LTS stage 2, shouldn't the recognised leg action travel be without the use of flotation equipment?
It changed not too long ago on Swim England. So prior to this you were allowed to use aids for stage 2

What’s this music called
We get all our music from a Swedish Producer called Ikson. You'll find a link to his work in the description!
How kids can't float. How do you learn that?😂
Staying relaxed. The more stiff or rigid you are the harder it is to float
just watching your back float, you might want to check out diaphragmatic breathing. I can see your body holding all your air in your chest
where are your videos?
