So please to find this, as I did have a VHS copy, which I lost.My favorite part is leaving Dagun, and the loco slips, and Dad can be seen leaning from the cab , with the biggest grin .He just loved driving/firing steam loco`s.I get a lump in my throat just watching this.I miss you mate, even after 18 years. He passed away in 2006, from the effects of Cancer,RIP Mate!
This was around 1999-2000. I was a flagman that day, but fired for both the crew on the footplate. Jim Daines Driving with my dear departed friend the Late Ron Harris Firing. Lots of familiar faces in this video, back when the Valley Rattler was just starting out and was all volunteers. I'm grateful for the experience it gave me as I later joined QR and qualified a second time to work Steam. Thanks for sharing.
This video is quite a find for me. My uncle and Grand mother are in this video, both have since passed away. Was amazing to see them again.
