Medals is really a deep song, and it's probably my favorite one, not that I don't like the others (Lu-ge is so great I can not dislike any of his songs), but I bet this means a lot to him. Especially the ending: the entire MV is in balck and white, but only when in the background an elk appears Lu Han can finally see the colors. Then he turns back to the camera and smiles, as if to let us know that he's not a deer anymore, but an amazing elk. That's the Lu Han he'd always wanted to show us, and I'm so so proud of him. I think the black and white theme throughout the mv perhaps meant the painful process where he attained a lot of injuries (physically or mentally) and these scars are like his medals, at the end the world becomes colorful again and he stands among a beautiful shade of green (which represents liveliness and energy) because after enduring all the pain, he sees light at the end of the tunnel, and everything is fine after all the rain and storm. Yah that's just my interpretation because I really really like this song, it is inspiring and healing to me. I think the black and white theme throughout the mv perhaps meant the painful process where he attained a lot of injuries (physically or mentally) and these scars are like his medals, at the end the world becomes colorful again and he stands among a beautiful shade of green (which represents liveliness and energy) because after enduring all the pain, he sees light at the end of the tunnel, and everything is fine after all the rain and storm.
Yah that's just my interpretation because I really really like this song, it is inspiring and healing to me. Whenever I listen to it, I would feel motivated to strive on and to overcome any obstacles on my way because I tell myself that every scar, every injury along the journey is like a medal, applauding the owner's bravery and perseverance.
