I'm writing this comment quite late after watching this movie and I do have to mention the execution of this one. The story is cliche and so typical, but just like everyone else in the comment section, the way they executed it is commendable and deserves lots of appreciation. And I cried so badly toward the ending 😭 I really want the leads to do another film together 😭❤️

It's been 10 years, still stuck in 2015. My childhood was more comfortable because of "Hsu Tai Yu & Truly Lin". I watched it again yesterday, however, I cried a lot and could not help myself to move on. I watched this at the age of 13, now I'm 18. Thanks for teaching me how to love someone even if he or she doesn't know my feelings. I want to fall in love with a man like "Hsu Tai Yu" in my "Lin Zhang Xing" life. This was my first chinese movie I watch and I love it so much. Besides the fact that the movie was clean made my 15 year old self loves it even more. Every time I listen to this song always made me tear up for some reason. This movie is very precious to me as it introduces me to more of other cdramas later on.
As a person who didn't realize my feelings when he was beside me, the lyrics of the song really represent my feelings. In this film, they reconciled after twenty years. It took so long but at least they got happy ending .But I guess it only happens in movie,not in real life! It's been five years and I still haven't heard anything from him. Anyway, I also wanna say thank u to him for being my bittersweet memory in my high school years. I'm sure he'll always be there,somewhere in my memory and in my heart even after many decades.

I watched this without any idea what it was, nor anybody recommended it. I wasnt expecting anything from it. I fell inlove with the characters and wound up crying and got a surprise of lifetime at the end.

Wow, i don't understand Chinese but this song made me cry and i don't know why, i relate a lot of my years in Highschool, girls wanted to hang out with me but that was a sign of weakness when i would be with the tough guys so I ignored them very bad, back then i was in the bully side, trouble kid and punched in the face whoever abused a girl. I usually listen heavy rock songs like Marilyn Manson, I have a chinese friend, she doesn't speak english so i was curious about Chinese language and i came to find this song it is amazing how i relate to it without understanding anything. the plot is basically that of a typical shoujo manga with basic themes and plots meshed into one does that mean it's bad or boring? HELL NO! this movie is an outstanding example that a classic romance plot still can be great and evoke all of your emotions

Actually there are some scenes that they cut. like the guy's side when they are adults. A staff asked him why did he come back when his life in US is already perfect? The guy answered it's because he made a promise to his first love, that he will make her idol sing in front of her. And the staff asked, what if the girl is not in Taipei and she cannot watch the concert? He said that it's okay, as long as I keep my promise to her.
I don't even know how many times I played this song in just one day. I really love the nostalgic feeling of this song, it reminded me so much of my highschool days, and that special feeling for someone. This movie is really amazing, this is on my top 5 movies that will always stay on my heart. ❣

I'm writing this comment quite late after watching this movie and I do have to mention the execution of this one. The story is cliche and so typical, but just like everyone else in the comment section, the way they executed it is commendable and deserves lots of appreciation. And I cried so badly toward the ending 😭 I really want the leads to do another film together 😭❤️

This was my first chinese movie I watch and I love it so much. Besides the fact that the movie was clean made my 15 year old self loves it even more. It took so long but at least they got happy ending .But I guess it only happens in movie,not in real life! It's been five years and I still haven't heard anything from him. i have watched this movie more than 10 times, and i still have it on my phone.. i dont want to delete or remove it.. love this movie.. a must watch movie... 😀 the main character played their role so well.. thumbs up for the creator of this movie, she is so genius cuz she picked a very good actor and actress so well.. i love darren wang so much.. he can portray different characteristics , the character suits him whether he play the bad guy role or a nice guy role.. he deserve to win a best actor award.. i am looking forward to see his next project.. he is all in one package.. he will be the next big star of taiwan.. 👍💋👄

I am a Filipino and I just watched this video yesterday. I love it ! It makes me emotional when Ta-Lu Wang confess through a record tape.
Actually there are some scenes that they cut. like the guy's side when they are adults. A staff asked him why did he come back when his life in US is already perfect? The guy answered it's because he made a promise to his first love, that he will make her idol sing in front of her. And the staff asked, what if the girl is not in Taipei and she cannot watch the concert? He said that it's okay, as long as I keep my promise to her.
