Well, in the wild they mostly eat decaying fruit off of the forest floor so it actually makes more sense to feed them on the bottom of their tanks! But I’ll eventually be adding some feeding ledges too just because it makes it easier for me to keep track of the dishes lol!

Is it ok if my leopard geckos only eat meal worms? They get to stressed with crickets and i dont know what else to feed them as they refuse to eat them and the crickets some out get out if every container i have, one is around 2 years old ( got him as a baby) and the other one ive had for 3 years but she looks like more of an adult i just dont know her age. I think the reason I like her so much isn’t because of just her overwhelming wholesomeness (although I think it’s very cute) but because I can tell she actually cares about her geckos as all of them have their tails ✨💕
They can drop their tails randomly. Not because they aren’t taken care of properly. They can be startled or even during mating could happen 😊 Unfortunately you can’t help it if they drop their tails. 🤷🏼♀️

Is there a reason why they aren’t in bioactive? Or just because you don’t like it? All our reptiles and amphibians are in bio as we find this a lot better for them all x
Because I breed most of the geckos I keep them on paper towels with a designated lay box so I can find the eggs. But bioactives are awesome, hence why I have the critters that I CAN in bioactives! It's not inherently better for them though, they are just as healthy and cared for in an artificial environment as they would be in a bioactive setting. :) One just looks nicer (depending on your taste!)
@@CatAleah Completely understand. I breed Crested Geckos and the hatchlings after a couple days in the tub after they hatch go straight into a bioactive vivarium also. But I know a lot of people don’t do this. I just found that they did Amazing going straight into one! I just search through the substrate monthly and collect the eggs. Touch would found them all this month! Haha. Your set ups are cute though, I love the flowers in them all 😊
Hi, I was wondering if you still feed your sugar gliders HPW? Because I got some sugar gliders and HPW and I dont know if I should put the powder mix with the fruit or in separate containers... thanks

How do you grow a lepord geckos tail, we have had one from the beginning of March and the tail is still very small, we also have some calcium powder for the cricket's/ meal worms.
i would suggest to up the humidity (only slightly), keep a bowl of water in the enclosure, and ofc calcium dust. leopard geckos tails store water, so their tail directly shows their water consumption. mine got really fat after i put a water bowl in there (which they will drag substrate into 🙄) but that’s what worked for me!! lmk if you have any questions :)
