- The Bronco OV10B from the Musée Européen de l'Aviation de Chasse being flown at the Kehl airshow Germany.
The Ville de Ravensburg being flown expertly by Alain Bes shows what this aircraft could really do.
The directors cut - more aircraft video and sounds less music and talking ...enjoy.
❤😮...Bronco-V.10 always upto date and i like his style performance and good looking. Amazing aerobatic...Bravo Bronco-OV-10🛫🛫🌍🛬🛬🛬...
I was with the RUSTIC FAC's in 1970 in Vietnam on Broncos flying missions in Cambodia, brought us home every time ! Great plane.
Never Givein did you hear that they brought them out of retirement to fight isis? They preformed very well. Now Boing is trying to build a new version.
How about that take off, WOW!
This pilot has the RIGHT STUFF! ❤️ it.
Have made 3 jumps from the Bronc - Laos 1971-73
Hardcore, the F35 has its place but the Bronco would be ideal for todays conflicts. Multi role, reliable and cost effective.
who were you with
This makes me appreciate the abilities of R.E. Bob Hoover that much more...…..may he RIP.
The Marines had flown this aircraft right up until 1990's. They used to put 4 or 5 Force recon guys in the back and then the OV10 would pull straight up and they would tumble out the door. Pretty cool to watch.
hehe, it's too slow an RPV is better suited for what the US does now.
Remember seeing that display at El Toro
Ññññññññññññññl
Yeah coooool! This IS my favorite flyer in my sim hangar. Looks, sounds & flys like the real bird. I get all jazzed up when spinning up on the flight line.
Another reason I like flyin this bird is because visibility is excellent w/ the engines behind the cockpit. All you have to do is turn your head 90 deg to be reminded what's movin you through the air.
I can fly in & out of landing strips 50% flaps that some wouldn't have the huevos to in single engines. Happy trails mi amigo :-))
I love these planes they are awesome. They should honestly bring them back into production instead of buying the Embraer Super Tucano.
He's flying that plane like he is in a Cheech and Chong movie.
This is one awesome plane (& pilot). I got over here from Aerosoft Fight Sim and plan on purchasing this bad boy for my collection. This pilot took it "over the top"! To bad he didn't have a cockpit camera.
Took it over the top? I was backseat on the A models out of Chu Lai 1969 0 1970. We did so much more with that bird while loitering around looking for trouble! This was the first time I ever flew an aircraft since the pilots were at times good guys and taught us a few moves. All this French guy did was fly her straight and level! We did aileron rolls, loops, Immelmanns and 4 leaf clovers on the horizon and didn't break a sweat! Sweet plane gave me the bug and I was a pilot ever since!
Nun sieht der "Focke Wulf 189" sehr ähnlich, aber ich mag beide sehr gerne!!
Thanks for sharing. Three of my favorite planes all have two engines, dual tails, the cockpit centered on the wing between the two powerful engines. They are: The SR-71, OV-10 and P-38. All others are just airplanes. :)
You left out the F14 Tomcat :-)
No, I did not. The F-14 is not one of my favorite airplanes.
brewers2150
And what about the OV-1?That's another pretty plane))
I love the Bronco as well. I also love the F-9 Panther. (probably my favorite)
loved the interview
I love a lot of propeller planes, but this one easily tops the 'Dear Santa...' category
Yea, I remember them cruising the air over my hometown Lubeck in North Germany. Must have been at least 25 years ago. I remember them being awfully loud. You get an idea of the sound at 10:44
Fitzliputzli23 Yes, they are loud and distinctive. I feel like I grew up with them; dad worked at Garrett (now Honeywell) where the engines were made, and they were a frequent sight in the skies over Phoenix.
Variants of the T76 (although I remember it as the TPE-331) powered the early Mitsubishi MU 2s and were fitted to Pilatus Turbo Porters as well, with the same characteristic whine.
Danke.
another marvel of aeronautical engineering
Thumbs up! A nice performance by the pilot in this exceptional OV-10B. Wish the narration was in English as I don't speek French, bummer. Still a nice video. Thanks for shaing it. Best Wishes n Blessings. Keith
Yeah, or at least subtitles.
Does Anyone know why he was flying it around like a crazy person?
This is one aircraft i would love to see one of the "how to fly" videos, like you see with light attack aircraft, and WWII aircraft, starting with the walk around, preflight, takeoff, a short flight, and landing. all narrated with GoPro attached to pilot's helmet, so you can see switch locations etc... (and if not in english, have english subtitles)....
It was our airtarget simulationplane for more than 12 years. It was great to view at through my periscope.
Cool ship. I'd love to take it for a spin, so to speak.
great video!!
Quelle modestie...
Funny how this plane is also used to drop bombs on ISIS. Looks beautiful and does beautiful things!
"Jinking" makes it hard for the camera to follow, just as it makes it harder to shoot at.
People are asking why he's jittering around like that: because he can
*Awesome video, but...*
I'm gonna assume there's no subtitles, because the translator couldn't keep up with his rapid fire French.
Cool video... wish I knew what he was saying....
Americans make cool planes!
Blue street
There you go. lol
Nicely interpreted!
This is ideal for current conflicts, relatively cheap, can take a lot of punishment, proven design (Vietnam) are they still being built?
+TVVultch I think the problem is great aircraft they are, shoulder launched missiles nowadays would kill them. I do love em though, and the A1.
i think it's so pretty
Looks like a Hershey bar wing piper cherokee.
The center of attention is often the center of the fire ball !
❤...I like Bronco type style model and good looking ❤
Nice to see well behaved kids cutting the grass. Unfortunately if this was in the UK you would have serious FOD issues.
I like jets better than props.....this prop is the exception...it is a very beatifull plane.
At about 6:50 right before he taxi's out the pilots right side was higher but then it leveled out. Any clue why this aircraft does that?
Actually this happened because of the push back they did on the aircraft. It's due to the suspension configuration in this aircraft. When they pushed back it raised the nose and because of the turn they made, the slight uneven forces to the gear unloaded one side. It's just the physics of the gear geometry here. Once the engines were started and run up, then the brakes released for a moment everything settled. ... I love this aircraft, I want one for personal use.
Thanks...you learn something every day.
10:02 Geez, it's shimmying around like an RC plane. Is that mostly rudder or is he adjusting the individual throttles too?
+hawaiidispenser It only flies like that when the flux capacitor has been filled with too much olive oil. Makes it slip and slide around. And I should know since I used to fly these things back in WW I.
Lots of control surfaces. Bucking like a bucking bronco.
What happened to the gear at 6:20? I love the OV-10 but don't know anything about its operation (past theory). I there an active gear height control or something?
He had one wheel on the grass and one on the runway, he just nudged it forward a bit
MrRexQuando You have to reverse the props to unlock the blades. When you reverse it, it pushes back and raises the wing. I was a crew chief on 67-14687 at Osan. Anybody out there know about the 'Cricket Shack'?

Thanks for the explanation...
REDmastMEDIA But no that's not it. You can see at 3:54 it is listing and no one in the cockpit to apply any brakes.
good
0:11 why its not level?
I want one..
I thought "OH NO! MUSIC instead of engine sounds and some French guy talking. Ugh!
That's just the beginning. The airshow flight starts at 5:28.
And stranger than fiction a pair of Broncos have been out back into service fighting ISIS
www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/america%E2%80%99s-antique-planes-battling-isis/ar-AAgyucu?li=BBnb7Kz
Would sir like our extended warranty package.
so for the 2016 Bronco give it a really top end electronics suite, a lantern pod so the guy in the back can see in all weathers at all times. More powerful engines and kevlar protection for the more delicate bits.
+REDmastMEDIA I hope they bring this old bird back with some modernization. She would be right at home fighting insurgents.
decodeddiesel She would be ideal....and very very affordable, imagine swarms of these going at ISIS positions. "Quantity has its own quality" as the swarms of Russian tanks attacking the Germans will testify.
Yea, the Broncos just have to leave Denver and fly to Iraq.
Do they still make them?
Nope, they are from the Vietnam era. Who knows though, they are testing them in combat again in middle east so they may make them again. With new tech they can be improved a lot.
❤❤❤❤😂
Man! Don't get in the back seat while the props are spinning!
Why are none of these aircraft flying civilian mode in the states?
I saw a basket case sell recently for about 150k. You might just see it. It would make the ultimate crop duster!
Good question. Would make a great plane for off field landings and high altitude airports. You load it up and take a nice cross country.
Still like the P-38 better.
2 completely different aircraft.
es casi igual a nuestro IA58 pucara
aviation engineering Germans were brilliant
Designed and built by North American at Columbus, Ohio ... regardless of the German markings.
Several countries operated them over the years.
Jim Wreyford just awesome! Congratulations!
lanaraujo My response was to Luiz as he seemed to think it was a product of German engineering.
not greman. The North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco is a turboprop light attack and observation aircraft. It was developed in the 1960s as a special aircraft for counter-insurgency (COIN) combat, and one of its primary missions was as a forward air control (FAC) aircraft. It can carry up to three tons of external munitions, and loiter for three or more hours.
Captured German scientists designed this Peoples plane.
I don’t get the point for all the uncoordinated sloppy rolls and turns.
DISPLAY RULES ????? THay was crazy, any mechanical failure or pilot erro could have plunged that plane straight into the crowd .... Typical of the French !
Why is the pilot flying so horribly? Is this an act of something???
I guess if you were flying over Vietnam and somebody was shooting at you flying like this would give them problems
TVVultch
I suppose. That seems like the most logical explanation. If anyone here who knows the language, leave a comment about the flying style. Thanks :)
You know how it is; You've been flying good and straight all week, then comes the day of the air show, You get up, start to make a pass for the crowd then it happens, You get that Itch in a hard to get to place and you just can't ignore it!. ;)
brewers2150 That itch right between the Center Stick :P
This OV-10 pilot is a accident waiting to happen … no doubt -
This is one of the most terribly edited video I have ever seen. A house fly would be more interesting to watch. The same landing takeoff footage multiple times. There is no doubt this appears to be an average pilot that is totally unfamiliar with what this aircraft is capable of and who appears to be totally intimidated by this beautiful aircraft.
+Andy Hutchinson The pilot is a former French jet fighter pilot, with several combat missions (may be that "average" for you), he clearly explains that he flew this plane for 4/5 years now, and that legislation, security measure for the public restrain his demonstration flight, and that the Bronco can do much more. I agree that maybe english subtitles would have help...
@@oliviervanbellinghen9393 no need for subtitles, just let the guys learn a bit french. ;-) ....and Andy just don’t watch it, no one forces you. The disrespect some people show towards others that take the time to film and upload these, just incredibly bad manors .
i think it's so pretty
