- A day out at Cape Point on the Legend Trident fishing kayak!
What a day! "Tail every where" were the reports from days past.
But one knows chasing yesterday's fish is as good as asking for one from a friend!
Might as well!
So we started out before the gate to enter Cape Point Reserve... Masses and masses of boats, kayakers and all in between!
We decided the slip was way too crammed! So stuff that, we launching over the small surf by the beach.
Jeanre took the lead as I wanted to see how she managed in the tiny surf on the sea slug, WHAMMO! She was over and heading out. Now I got on my Trident but blimey I got on scew and got side swiped by the wave.
Not 3 minutes after Jeanre had her lure in the water and bam!! She was on her first yellowtail ever!
I was to film more of her action but got into a frantic panic when I notice the line was wrapped around the top eyelet.
Anyways a great day ahead and many smiles conquered the day!

Thats just how it goes bud. Saw a school about size of a rugby field pass by.
Threw a plug but nothing. They skarpered away chop chop... had one tail chase my plug with frikken aggression dude! 😅😂 Could see in the video the last strike it took but I moved the plug.
Never seen a fish so aggressive dude. Holy smokes😶😂

The trick for Cape Point is you get some peanut butter and anchovy oil... you put it on the tip of your... fishing rod.
Hold it in the water and hope a fish with no teeth bites 😉😂😂😂
