The only thing I dont like about Xueyi is that she wants a bit of everything: ATK, BE, Crits, SPD. She’s hard to build

Not really. Dual scaling means shes actually more forgiving than traditional dps's. Getting rolls in break effect isn't going to be a miss, whereas traditional DPSs you just want as many crit stats as possible. It's harder to just get crit rolls, and you can have a servicable xueyi with less relic rolling.
She is not hard to build but to optimize / balance . I have lot of Quantum set with high to mid BE lvl . You also need a luck to get her at E4 .
We all know this is Mihoyo gacha games so Devs gonna milking money somehow . I'm disappointed that her extra BE DMG unlock at E4 . At least put it E1 . Her E2 should be on base kit .
What Xueyi need is lightcone : for every ( insert number % ) of wearer break effect , Increase crit rate 3% & crit DMG by 6% .
The other way around, it means she accept more buff variety from your supports and flexible interms of builds.
It's only hard if you don't know what you are going to do and mainly rely on what others told you to build a character, or in short, skill issue indeed...

Lol i was like "I feel like I have a decently built Xueyi and i'm not one tapping any of those bosses. and I have an E6 Ruan mei with esentially perma 280% break. I don't know what more I could be doing.

Bruh I didn’t know about the numbers or anything but as soon as I paired Ryan Mei and Xueyi I was like… they perfect buddies. That’s why I didn’t really follow what was being said about Ruan Mei lol… Experience sometimes just better than listening.

a lot of the Luofu females have really good designs though, Hanya, Fu Xuan, Huo Huo, Xueyi, Tingyun, Jingliu, Bailu etc

While my Xueyi does suck 50/100 CR (working on it 😭), this statement only holds up with the current MoC turbulence. Xueyi is benefiting sooooo much from it. Fight elites in SU or any other MoC turbulence… you’re not killing max levels in one break with her on a hypercarry comp…
Otherwise, I appreciate your video and showcases. I really enjoy Xueyi and her kit, and I’ve built her myself as she’s my first quantum DPS. And as much as I’m enjoying her and think she’s a great unit, that one break argument just does not stand without the turbulence doing half of the elite’s HP worth of damage because you shredded so much toughness in one cycle.
That is a good point although it's worth mentioning that RM is still her best teammate. A bit of delay won't change that.
@@smexxxxy I think a better showcase here would have been Bronya and Pela vs Ruan Mei and Pela. My guess is that the res pen Ruan Mei gives would have her come out on top, but nihility debuffs with Bronya work much better than turn based character buffs.
@@TheFlyingPinkythe thing is the only turn based character is that team is bronya herself the problem is not ruan mei neither pela is how bronya works, and not using ruan with xueyi is literally making her kit worse on purpose even worse if your xueyi is not E6.
Thats what I dont like about his point is mostly based on current moc, if you break but dont kill Ruan Mei is sadly gonna cause some dps loss for Xueyi.. its not the end of the world but its undeniable she just want to break ennemies as frequently as possible and if already held back by quantum weakness which slows them and need to be stacked
Its just a thing to consider that things aren't gonna go this well for all mocs cause that one reward too much breaking and finished the ennemies for you
@@Adan.2005 I'm not going to fully disagree, it's just I'm not completely convinced that in a neutral battlefield, Ruan Mei's buffs outclass Bronya's extra turn + ult. Yes, Ruan Mei gives 150% break effect (amongst many other things), but a speed tuned Bronya gives Xueyi two turns, and thus 200% break effect. What this showcase illustrates is that in this current MoC environment, a team of Ruan Mei and Pela outclass a team of Ruan Mei and Bronya, but I don't think we can automatically generalize this data set for most situations (or even come to a conclusion that Bronya is a relatively poor support for her).
It seems with my line of thinking is similar to that of @Lew98765 - totally agree with what he said!

Glad you are back! Your first show case is like a play by play of my own run, right down to Fu Xuan hitting the side bug to ensure break. One thing that can happen in the run is if the mage + knight start the fight and hit xueyie first, you can actually have her ult the mage earlier and possibly save a cycle.
Im surprised you didn’t mention Tingyun as her next best companion to Ruan Mei. Not only does she cycle the ult faster, good atk buff, but also Tingyun scales off on Xueyi’s dmg percentages and Tingyuns follow up attack does a ATON of dmg when paired together.
I was about to coment this too. Literally my men hasnt try this broken duo
Also, with a team like Mei, Xueyi, Tingyun, and Fu, you can avoid stealing breaks with every character other than Xueyi.

Thank you so much for this video man. I have looked at a lot of guides & videos about Xueyi since this patch released and yours is by far the best. My Xueyi is E5 and I am still pulling hoping to get her E6, and even better if I get Ruan Mei along the way. The amount of effort you put into the video is very obvious.
Before watching any guide I like to build the character myself and test it myself and seeing what they lack on and if I can fix it before going on the internet. When I saw the results between my E6 Xueyi and my E1S1 Ruan Mei I was very perplexed to find many CCs telling me that they had anti-sinergy because for me that wasn't absolutely the case and this video finally showed me that I wasn't completely an idiot 🙏🏻
Smack finally back and kicking the banger content. I also happen to have an E3 Xueyi! And I've come to know that playing her with the shield breaking and the follow-ups is so much fun. Great to learn as well that we don't need to invest too much Break Effect on her even if we can reach 240% and instead go for Crit stats. It's expensive but it'll be fun once she's fully built :D
Just a little thing I noticed in the first half showcase 1, you used your Ult with Ruan Mei before her turn started. This reduces her Ult duration by 1 turn.

Since xueyi can amplified any element because of her trace passive, you can build tingyun for boost electro damage, 60/120 crit value and 150 break effect should be good, if you have better relic, good now you have tingyun who hit like 10k plus

For me the main “double edge sword “ came with using SW in the comp with Ruan mei. She deals so much toughness damage that she can easily steal breaks from Xueyi if you aren’t careful. And she leaves less toughness for Xueyi to damage which can slow down the follow ups
I mean even tho SW is good probably using pela is better, xueyi is more of a multitarget dps than a unitarget dps, but I agree.

Did you watch the 1 cycle Moc 12 side B with Xueyi made by Dreamy? It was a Bronya comp so I think it also shows how Bronya's advance forward skill is broken even without the dammage bonus
Bronya is broken no matter what, RM might be better in this case but the difference is so little you don't need to be sweaty about it

Got her E6 From ruan mei banner shes really helped carry me through these lower rank levels since i just started HSR shes been a life saver against bosses that i dont have units built for
check the synergy of Xueyi with Tingyun as it attacks an enemy, an ally with the “Blessing” status immediately inflicts additional electrical damage on the same enemy equal to 30-75% of that ally’s attack power.
Crazy how I got E1 Fu Xuan for Jing Yuan, and in trying to get Blade and Ruan Mei, I now have a E6 Xueyi. Def wanna try this out

Ive noticed with her that running double atk ornaments alongside aeon is still better for her in a mono quantum team instead of atk orb and be rope. (I do have be substats for days tho)
say Xueyi's damage has high ceiling but she also has a really high floor compared to some other characters, we can look for the crit stats but as we've seen the enemy mob just dies from a single break.
It's exciting to see how much xueyi would benifit from good crit ratio but until we get tanker enemies we can't appreciate how strong she can be. 😊

alright correct me if i'm wrong here, he keeps saying that the enemy should die before they recover from the break, that the double eged sword will only show if i have skill issue or playing her suboptimally... but what i'm seeing here, the most damage came from the moc buff.. the moc buff definitely favors ruan mei.. so i'm just curious will this still work when future moc buffs doesnt give additional damage or doesnt favor enemies being in break for a long time

Nice video. There was a small misplay on the Pela run. You wasted a turn of RM's ult because you used it right before her turn when the bug appeared.
It’s true, tried her with both Ruan Mei and SW. With Ting and Bronya. Ting and SW. And first team performed the best by far.

I’ve been using Clara, HuoHuo and Ruan Mei with her and it’s been going well. If you want to try a dual dps comp that’s if you even consider Clara a dps to begin with…
Idk much about Xueyi and maybe is the differents investments levels but Dreamy did a one cycle clear with Ruan Mei Bronya and Fu Xuan, but yeah putting those two together makes every DPS a Killing machine, but yeah Xueyi E6 it's a diferent character

Gonna be honeat when i went the hybrid build, i was originally 70cr with 180 cdmg, with 76 break effect, and my damage was higher, so when i swapped to 65/120 and 200 break effect i was so upset that the damage dropped, until i broke the weakness, then i realized that her damage was coming from breaking, that nuke caught me off guard so hard
Had fun with solo sustain march 7 vs ice weak enemies + ruan mei + xueyi + another dps of an element that the enemy is weak to. E6 xueyi gets stacks very fast from every march follow up attack, or any other unit that attacks/ults/follow-ups often (Sushang, blade, clara, topaz) maybe not peak optimal, but lots of fun
just a quick question , could u replace pela with Silver Wolf ? it could be said its obvious but silver wolfes ult only lowers def on a single enemy so i wanna know
Hey gacha can you tell us when exactly is usually better to use an atk % sphere? Is it when bonuses are 30% already? When do bonuses get to diminishing returns that makes atk% better?
Xueyi is a special case exception cause she transforms 100% of her BreakEffect into Damage Bonus, so you using a Break Effect Rope on her gives (64% BE)+(64% DMG), so now she can forgoe the 38% Quantum(her element) Damage Bonus Sphere for an 44%+ ATK Sphere as she is 4 star unit (they lack ATK,DEF, and HP stats) to further her dmg, even more so with Ruan Mei in your team (Ruan Mei offers 0 ATK% Bonuses in her kit at E0, unless you use that Planetary +8%ATK to team set)(She offers excessive DMG% from her skill, and talents/traces/ultimate through Res Pen)
Was going to run a break effect rope of Xueyi but I got a Atk% rope and it all rolled into BE% 31.7.
Going to need a god tier rope to change that out with CR and CD
I don't know, I've seen a pretty convincing E6 Xueyi showcase, since showcases are what we're going off of here, of her doing the second half of MoC 12 in 1 cycle with a Ruan Mei + Bronya comp. It may be, as you said, an issue with the LC you are using. Or, it may be because of the E6 vs. the E3 on Xueyi. In the showcase I saw, though, Bronya was very important in it, and the Bronya was only E0 to boot. So, perhaps Bronya's synergy goes up further in practice at E6 + a more Bronya-synergistic LC based on what I've seen others do with her and E6 Xueyi.
I have been teaming up xueyi with march for fun cause you get a karma stack for every follow up and if want them to recover from break a little faster i can freeze as well
The weirdest shit about Xueyi is that she have colorless toughness break on ult, but her best use is actually against enemy already having quantum weakness and preferably a lot of enemies with quantum weakness already.
Trying to patch this up with SW only works against single target enemies and against pure single target, her stack counter goes up very very slowly.
It's normal. If you look at it from the other side, the colorless break just makes her suck less when you're up against non-quantum weak enemies, by allowing her to do one of the things you'd normally be able to do against quantum weak enemies, so of course she's better against quantum.
Then add in that so much of her kit is focused on toughness damage which makes her worse than other DPS against non-quantum - her ultimate and E2 help mitigate that so that she's still somewhat usable. Contrast Sushang who's absolutely terrible against non-physical.
The unique thing she does bring to the table is being able to impose quantum break on non-quantum enemies, but there's not that much of an upside to that since Xueyi herself is dealing less damage. The only team I can think of that might even want this is Sushang+Xueyi since Sushang wants enemies broken longer and won't mind at all if Xueyi steals a break with her ultimate.
@@memetic_hazardthe problem is that it doesnt show you how much toughness youre gonna reduce, so that can this can be bad for you when you have Ruan Mei's breaking efficiency buff and doesnt know exactly how many toughness she is taking out.
But its just a detail.
The colorless break is still very useful even when you're using her against quantum-weak enemies. If you watch the video, a good example is against the two elites where Xueyi easily finishes the break on the mage who isn't quantum weak with her ult since Pela and Ruan Mei can chip it's toughness while she and Fu Xuan can focus on the guard next to it. Unless literally every single enemy is quantum weak, she still gets a lot of value from it.

I know this is a little late, but Xueyi carried me through the MoC 12 for full stars I had no ice carry or quantum carry so yea... crazy good 4 star and only at E2, and was on break set
I think I heard someone said she's really only Dual DPS friendly with Blade, Jingliu, or Topaz, but Definitely she peforms better in a Hyperbuffed Scneario ie basically plopping her into Mono Quantum + Ruan Mei with SW or Pela depending on the Scneario
2.0 will be where she does benefit some more. From a certain Lightcone, as well as a Certain character who could be better then Bronya for Xueyi.
I have been telling people her and Ruan Mei are a crazy combo.
Ruan mei making Xueyi able to break super fast is incredible lockdown and the break extension usually allows me to get her ult up before the enemy break ends and instantly down them again on the next health bar reset lol. People saying her not being able to build stacks because of the time spent in break is a detriment might be forgetting the benefits of doing more dmg in break, entanglement, and mitigation of the pairing.
How much does the ruan mei/Xueyi combo improve with E2 ruan mei and E6 Xueyi?

I just want to clarify b/c I believe when you said "shin schwei" (how it sounded) you were talking about QQ. Correct me if I'm wrong but when it comes to broken 4⭐ dps characters QQ is the first that comes to mind. I have her E6 on both of my accounts. Now I hardly use her at all on my main (which I may change soon) but I use the hell out of her on my alt and she is definitely really good. Feel free to correct me if it's not QQ because if it isn't I'm curious who you were talking about then.
Really tempting to go for E6 but im at 63 pity 50/50 and mine is at E4 but I need to pull Kafka for Black Swan, trying not to whale until Black Swan at least 😪
