This is awesome, the amount of endurance and technique you have to have when running 6 miles(if I’m not wrong)the strength these women have,it gives me more motivation to keep going
Never ever seen this Championship in my life. What a event more interesting than Olympics. Women's enduring a gruelling 10,000 km completely flabbergasted. Thanks for uploading.
I think I remember seeing Mo Farah in last place swing out to lane 9 for water at the olympics or maybe world championships and then continue to win the race
Me encantó, que corredora tan buena con una regularidad en su paso soberbio es la segunda vez que la veo correr en la misma prueba la veré en Tokio ojalá gane soy su fan,
Good first half of the race, and the second half was great when I turned off the volume. What a tremendous pace late in the race, and Baez just pulled away.
At this stage of the race the runners need to think about what their feelings feel and how their feelings are feeling about how they feel - this is expert analysis
What an incredible run by Cardama Baez. Just incredible. Much respect for her and the rest of the ladies who participated. Let them be an example to all youths. No tattoos, well focused and reaching a high degree of success!
I'm not sure who the woman commentator is, but I've watched maybe a dozen track videos with her commentating, and she never fails to talk about "rhythmic running" and I am so dang tired of her saying that -- her whole schtick is annoying (to me). Every once in a while, I see a runner who seems to be running WITHOUT rhythm, but that is the exception rather than the rule.
She’s about 9% slower than the WR. The men had a huge group that was about 4.5% slower than the WR. I hope running becomes more popular for women in this country so we see this gap between the collegiates and the world class shrink
33:30 used to be excellent 10k for local men, you’d be one of the best in the area. I’m impressed with that time, so what if some anerexic from Ethiopia is better.
I'm not in the States. But hearing particularly the male commentator going on and on about "last mile" and "one mile to go". When are the USA commentators going to drag themselves out of that 1950's mentality. You mean, "last 1600m" or simply "last 4 laps", don't you? International Athletics has been using Metrics since 1960. Time to change your terminology.
Poor commentary by the woman commentator, look how relaxed she is, how low her shoulders are! That’s rubbish! It’s a sure sign she’s struggling to maintain pace and her shoulders are cramping. I thought you’d have to be an ex pro to commentate! Absolutely no idea.
This is awesome, the amount of endurance and technique you have to have when running 6 miles(if I’m not wrong)the strength these women have,it gives me more motivation to keep going
What an awesome moment for Cardama Baez. National champ in her home stadium in her senior year. So happy for her!
She is Spaniard 😉

A ton of personal bests! Can't say they didn't leave it all out there
That must have been some battle for 3rd-6th place.......too bad they didn't show it!!!! That would have better than seeing the winner get hugged!
Never ever seen this Championship in my life. What a event more interesting than Olympics. Women's enduring a gruelling 10,000 km completely flabbergasted. Thanks for uploading.
t
they run the 10k in the olympics...
The runner from Oregon left that person from Alabama in the dust on the last lap!!!!!
Noticed the announcers were on Chelangat's nuts the whole race then Baez shuts them up at the end. that was awesome.
She is NO Hassan!
Not even an Olympic standard time , so what's the fuss, plus the Alabama runner is not even a nationally ranked runner..LOL smh
@@cbnboy34 Not now but she is within shouting distance!!!!!
@@cbnboy34 she could run faster if she fixed her running form. Alabama needs to work on fixing the running forms on their runners.
Cardama SO strong. Seemed effortless.
Anyone remember Carmela from emma abrahamson’s vlogs?
what an incredible race - last lap kick - for local runner! wow!
2019 runner-up to 2021 champ. Well deserved win.
10:46 I've never seen water offered on the track before
they do it for longer races where its hot that day... and it seems like its hot and wet out in eugene

Awesome command of this race. Cardama took it to them.
P
nice to see cardama win when the commentators just talked about the Alabama runner nearly the entire race.
well she was in front pretty much the whole race, and at the end when it was just those two, they talked about both.

Why only one black athlete?
Should be more.
The Winner crosses the finish line first not all through the race .Don't talk about one runner the whole time.

Seriously, better to show the winner get hugged than to show the race for 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc.?
Got to admit I didn't see that one coming. Good on her guess that shows you run your race and do your best and don't worry about the competition.
congrats:::women!!!
Good first half of the race, and the second half was great when I turned off the volume. What a tremendous pace late in the race, and Baez just pulled away.

Well runing by first winner...
GOOOOOD JOOOOOB . ATHLETICE OKE.....
Announcer said that on this track you can hear runners breathing behind you. Actually that's true for ANY, track and any road.
Not true for me since I didn’t notice a guy creep up on me in the last 50 meters and fuck me over. 😪
These 2 commentators making a fool of themselves giving Chelangat too much faith because she "was" number 1 in distant races.
Qué gran corredora, Carmela Cardama. Qué fuerza al final y qué bonito es verla correr.
Congratulations 👏

One good thing about athletic is that u dont need to hurt your opponents in the competition as compared to boxing n other combat sports.
