Tom Holland has had an amazing year from the indie scene to Spiderman, now a project that was years of hard work and waiting is finally hitting the big screen for us to enjoy - In the Heart of the Sea. The tale of a giant whale strandeing a group at sea for 90 days may revive memories of Moby Dick but the film is a work of its own, directed by the incredible Ron Howard.
While on SITM, Holland shares an interesting journey from street dancing in London to getting into acting when it was never actually his intention. But, when opportunity presents itself you'd better be ready and Holland was more than prepared when auditioning for the Spiderman role. During the interview, we get a hilarious story of how he found out about being cast. When he's not on the big screen he's ripping the streets behind a love of skateboarding, ironically enough there are a few other actors that are great - you'd never know who!

I think Toby was a better Peter Parker than Andrew; Garfield was good, but he didnt' looked right in the part, too 'cool' and more like a skate-boy stereotype from college. The fact that he was a genius was hard to believe. Holland looks perfect so far: the voice, the face, looks like a 16 years old (he's 19 actually I think), the body, the attitude; he's gonna do great in the part, hopefully he'll be the ONLY Spider-Man in the MCU, making around 6 or 7 movies (solo movies and cameos in the MCU) without changing the actor.

He's going to kill it as Spider-Man. He's the perfect age, 19, whereas Andrew Garfield & Tobey Maguire were in their 30's. He's got the perfect body type: lanky. He could really pull off the awkward high school student whereas Garfield was too much of a pretty boy. Maguire was good but he played the Spider-Man from the comics in the '60s. Plus he's got Kevin Feige, who is a God when it comes to comic book movies. That movie is going to be hyped. Can't wait to see him in Civil War next year.

I admit when I heard this guy was gonna be Spider-Man I was a little upset because I loved Andrew Garfield so much. But after seeing this interview I'm seeing that this guys is really cool and I think he's gonna play a great Spider-Man.
I think he's going to be perfect Spider-Man. His performance in the impossible was outstanding for his age and reduced me to tears and I hardly cry At films. In the comics spidey is still in high school so he's got to have a fresh face and voice and I can hear the cheekiness mirrored in toms and even his built is perfect spider man supposed to be scrawny and flexible and this guy did gymnastics can you imagine the stunts! Toby was too corny good Peter Parker not spider man and Andrew was good Spider-Man but not nerdy enough plus they're both like 30 Tom is a more accurate representation nailed the casting
