their are many artificial pitches/surfaces that are bouncy in many academies not only does National but many IPL and Ranji teams do practice on them... their is one in Mumbai another one in Pune that i know
Murali's stats are much better. Just look at it and it will be crystal clear that Murali was head and shoulder above the rest. Warne's bowling avg in India was 47. People don't take Murali's bowling action favorably and that's why Warne's name comes up.

why don't you import indian soil and consult with an experienced Indian curator to prepare the pitch? Set it up in Perth or Darwin which are cities with a tropical climate. Best & ultimate practice..is practice with "crazy ball". Good spin, bounce & speed. Just making an underarm throw with just 2 fingers will help. I can make it to spin after pitching upto 5 meters.

Having the custom built subcontinent pitch is easy part. The hard part is getting quality spin bowlers from subcontinent for practice purpose. (Relax guys, I am not saying it's difficult to find quality spinners in Australia, I mean they produced Warne, but that's it. But subcontinent (India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) has produced more quality spinners. That's a hard fact )

I think India should practice in Lahli, Haryana before the tour of England, New Zealand, South Africa or Australia. Lahli is famous for the green top & I'm sure few practice sessions will make Indian batsmen playing pace perfectly there.
It is all about cracks on the pitch in the 1day , 1st session of test match. That's what Indians are doing bcoZ they knew it would be tough fight if the crack opens up gradually .. not in the first day. Bcoz earlier the one who bats first on Indian subcontinent had a fair chance of winning considering that the one who loses is going to bat on cracked pitch on 4th or 5th day
