    Wait...I could have been in the tech industry years ago coding emails!?! I knew this skill was going to be in demand. I started learning HTML/CSS years ago but was overwhelmed with people telling me that emails are dead, I need to learn more advanced languages and backend tools to get a tech job. Needless to say, I stopped, life happened, and I found myself working in manufacturing/logistics. After a layoff last year, I'm looking to transition into tech by working towards my Salesforce Administrator and Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification. With your course I'm sure I'll be able to bring my HTML/CSS skills back up to speed! This will be a game changer. Thank you so much for creating an updated HTML Email course and sharing this tutorial!

      Hey Tiffani, that's great! I hope the course helps you with your goal of getting into tech. I am going to be releasing a course for HTML/CSS beginners as well which will be a prerequisite for the HTML email course for anyone who needs to polish their skills. Hopefully I can release it within a few weeks. Let me know if you have questions in the course. :)

    I'm taking your course right now, and man what a setback this stuff is! I was just starting to think I had a good handle on HTML and CSS, but coding for emails is way more complicated than I assumed! Tables are really nasty! I wish I could just use display: flex hahah. That said, you are a good teacher! I feel like learning HTML email is the quickest way for me to get an entry level job as a developer. I'll probably have to go through your videos many times to absorb all this new information about cross browser support and whatnot.

      Thanks! I appreciate your kind feedback. The CSS for HTML Email it is pretty basic in my experience, the tables and email client compatibility just make it look really difficult. If you can layout a basic responsive HTML & CSS website then you can pick up HTML Email easily I'd say.

    Says dark mode in the title and then proceeds to not talk about it at all. Amazing

    do media queries work fine for email templates nowadays?

    Hi, why are emails landing in promotional rather primary?

    • @htmlemail
      @htmlemail  3 месяца назад

      This is common in email marketing and expected with email newsletters nowadays. You can work on deliverability though.

      Thank you for reply . I have taken udemy course, that is good. But I don't get why internal style sheet and especially media query are not working. Why?

    Thank you very much for your content, you're 100% talented teacher - I don't need to watch the video more then once, as I get everything pretty fast (which is probably not so good for your channel in terms of amount of views ;-)) but anyway..)) I wonder to know if you have any opinion about email frameworks - especially I'm interesting about Foundation 2 for emails. It has an opportunity to use sass to boost the development (it converts to inline basic css after the project building) and also, it uses it's own superset of html called Inky which helps to escape writing tables from scratch. I haven't used the Foundation framework yet, but I strongly thinking about to start. So I will appreciate your opinion. It is not only about the Foundation, but also about what do you thing about the frameworks as a whole?

      Thanks! I would recommend for people starting out to only develop HTML email by hand coding them and to understand the intricacies of developing for different email clients like Outlook before looking into using any frameworks.

    your HTML email tutorials are awesome. I followed to the letter. HOWEVER, when I went to deploy the email (embedded in Outlook), I was totally stumped. Testing was great in PutsMail, but both trying to add html file (as text) and pasting HTML in body of email did not work. Totally stumped. My client want to send his email mini-newsletter within Outlook to his few clients. He does NOT want to use MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc. Any ideas?

      Outlook will require conditional statements added into the design to make the columns responsive. You can see the conditional statement page on my responsive html email website to learn more or the course. Sorry, I can't help with an idea for sending it from within Outlook.

    I have done the tutorial, but when i sent the test mail to Outlook, the 3 images didn't show side by side. Can you help me?

      Hello Filipe, the RUclips tutorials are email templates for modern email clients so for Outlook it requires conditional statements. I have a lesson on my website if you wish to add them to the RUclips tutorial code. This among other things is what separates my HTML email course from the much shorter RUclips videos. :)

    I know the class id does not support many email clients. By the way, Your email design coding is so easy. Lastly, I want to know this code is supported by the email client. Clear my concussion.

    • @htmlemail
      @htmlemail  3 года назад +1

      Classes and IDs work in moderns email clients, for older clients styling still needs to be inline with the HTML elements. The code works in most email clients, for full compatibility and testing it would need conditional statements as seen in my course. In my website documentation there is a lesson on HTML email conditional statements well.

    i just went through your Udemy course and watching these videos I'm wondering why you're not adding role="presentation" in tables.

      Hi Frank, thanks for taking the course! The RUclips tutorials are stripped down for time (and effort I suppose) compared to the course.

    • @htmlemail
      @htmlemail  2 года назад

      Hello, you can visit my website for dark mode specific queries for your CSS if you'd like to add but in modern dark mode email clients like Gmail seen here it will invert to dark mode automatically.
