they sing in Tajik Language, Bukhara dialect. It's getting extinct, unfortunately, as the two main cities where it is spoken had been cut off from the Soviet-drawn territory of present-day Tajikistan, where, by the way, the dominant dialect (on the street) now is southern (Kulobi.)
My dear friend. Dont mislead people. Bukhara and Samarqand were mistakenly joined to Uzbekistan and unfortunately situation hasn't found its solution. Its getting extinct not because people in Tajikistan speak Kulobi (this is also your misrepresentation as there are dozen other dialects in Tajikistan) but rather because tajik language in Uzbekistan is forbidden on state level and tajik schools are getting closed and people have no opportunity to learn it. Cheers!
