    I remember when I told Vince Fields that Eric Paulson had come out with Killer leglocks 3 and he said after Killer Leglocks 1 and 2 he couldn't believe there was anything else to teach about leglocks but there was.

    I love how these old school catch wrestlers didn't bother too much with naming the techniques. They just practiced them all so much it became second nature.

      We remember things better when they are named. Words are recalled in other part of the brain

    @3arabeyyun dont take my word completly on this but alot of take downs like that one dont have a real name, they're just named by whoever teaches you it. like how the rubber guard has been around forever and eddie bravo named alot of the moves to help hi teach them.

    Every generation and practitioner of the Martial Arts, since the stone age, have reinvented the wheel because that's what we naturally do when we learn something new. We take the information and process it, and relate it to what we already know. It doesn't come out looking exactly the same but the principle remains, hence; reinventing the wheel. I'm sure both Hatsumi and Vladimir would agree with this, not you? Aren't you guys talking about this in the world of NLP?.......

  • @YachtsmenInc
    @YachtsmenInc 13 лет назад

    @Morongotongo123 Paulson is a genius on the ground. But, you still have the perfect his techngiques through hours of practice.
    Example: He trained Brock Lesnar for 2 months prior to his first fight with Frank Mir and he got caught with a Knee bar. And didnt try to escape.

    • @kallepikku4991
      @kallepikku4991 3 года назад +1

      What are you, stupid? You think anyone can teach everything in Catch wrestling to a new guy in just 2 months? Besides, didn't Brock beat the sh*t out of Mir in their rematch?

  • @KJGould
    @KJGould 13 лет назад

    @YachtsmenInc Lesnar did try, he left it too late. Timing is something that has to be worked on just as much as technique and Lesnar was a rookie. He still is, one could argue.

    Sadly no in fact in a interview paulson said sambo is shit and is basically judo

  • @SuperDUDERIKI
    @SuperDUDERIKI 11 лет назад +1

    Sambo was created in 1938 (actually before that but that was when it became an official martial art) and a thousand years before that was 938,Ninjutsu dates back to the 1500's,therefore you are wrong. Plus,JMA draw roots from Chinese martial arts which draw roots from ancient Greek Pankration(which had leg locks). Plus,the techniques in CSW are way more updated with a lot more setups and reversals,Ninjutsu doesn't even come close. Erik Paulson has 10 times the knowledge of that fraud Hatsumi.

    I Would like to have a fight with this guy ... But with some variation. him on his knees and 1 of his arms tied on his back and one of his eyes blocked with tape so he can only see with 1 eye. Im sure i can do pretty well against him, nahh im JK.
    omg this guy knows all the leg locks its amazing. it would be good to have him always close and as a friend. i would feel like HE-MAN walking on his side knowing he is my friend and he will protect me.

    compliant Uke clumsy take downs leaving too many openings

  • @cruiserexess
    @cruiserexess 12 лет назад

    And maybe someone ells did it 2000 thousand years ago, what's the point? We reinvent the wheel all the time, to suit our current needs and because it's a good way to learn. MMA doesn't have a set curriculum, the clue's in the name. Therefore, accusing it of 'stealing' is to bark up the wrong tree, don't you think?

    A sad day when mr bushido comes looking for a fight and all he gets is a fucking Fan Boy answering his rhetorically challenged statements. Most 'genuine MMA guys' I know of, devote their lifes to their arts and training as much as you do, possibly more. They just choose to incorporate it into a sport with set rules. Why so bitter about it? Did you just loose a few students to the submission club next door?
