Great content, also the first time I watched/listened at 0.75 playback speed in order to understand what Ammon was saying. 😅

Finding myself fascinated by the camera autofocus; it seems really into the brick patterning and the steel pipe. ;-) Great talk, obviously.

Good talk. For next time, make sure that your camera is stays focused. It gets really annoying when your speaker constantly goes in and out of focus. It only happens when you switch to the close up camera of Ammon.

I'd like to think that this guy actually talks really slow and you guys decided to speed him up in post, as opposed to him actually speaking at 1200 words/s lol. Either way it was a great interview.

I felt that way too, I was making the speed 0.75. Kind of strange

There doesn't seem to be much uniqueness behind Triplebyte. They perpetuate the status quo that everyone should be the same and that the best interview process is the one that treats everyone as a cog created from the same cookie-cutter template. I would suggest companies take the opposite approach and allow candidates to choose the interview process that works best for them - if that's a short-term contact period, a traditional interview process, or a pair programming project, so be it. Much innovation left to be done here.

You have no idea why you’re talking about. There are four separate interview processes in Triplebyte and dozens of permutations of skill sets that can pass each. Triplebyte finds jobs for people as different as can be.

Great Session. Struggled to hear what Ammon was saying sometimes though.

Cannot focus on what he’s saying as the stuttering is intense.... frankly didnt learn much as he seemed not sure of a lot of things he said ( he kept thinking when questions were asked).

Watch the video at a faster speed and it should be fine.

I never felt Ammon's occasional stutter detracted from his great answers. He was not unsure as much as he was slow and careful to answer. I'm not sure how thinking before answering is a demerit. We live in different worlds, I guess!
