We are building an off grid homestead on a remote island in southeast Alaska. Our goal is to become more self sufficient and self reliant buy growing our food, raising our own food and though hunting and fishing.

Looked like a nice day for a adventure/ visit. I bet you were glad you had the tractor to dig the holes for the plants after having to use a shovel to dig them out. I hope they take and you have years of fresh berries and fruit from them. Have a Great week and Thanks for sharing.

hello folks great video as always . wanted to mention that newly planted rhubarb plants your not suppose to harvest the first year , in there second year only harvest uo 4 stalks third year and beyond harvest many as you like as long as you leave 6 stalks or more. y'all look great ! happy mothers day

Fingers crossed those trees grab on and grow for you. Root stimulator might help. May have to wait to use it on the next batch of trees if you go get more. I think you have to use that stuff down at the roots when you plant them. I'm not sure. Have to look it up. Currents are yummy. I think a lot of ppl use them for jam. Love plums. Enjoyed seeing another homestead there. Love watching you guys travel to other places. If I were in your shoes, I'd be camping on different spots by the water now and then enjoying campfires and fishing. Of course, I know you guys have a lot of work to do during your short summers. 😊

Very enjoyable video. Those look like some nice tree already have some good size to them and will produce if not this year I'll bet next year. I just did a grafting class and grafted 2 apple trees and 2 plum trees now I just have to wait and see if the grafts take as it was my first time attempting it. Good luck with your trees.

Yes we did say kiwis. But these ones are not like the big fuzzy ones in the store. They are more the size of a grape.😊
