This is very useful for making a clock mechanism which can be used to time cycles in a digital device. That doesn't mean I'm going to believe a crystal can heal my depression though.
I personally enjoy crystals. I can say with 100% confidence they dont "heal". They wont be able to cure any illness and forgoing medical treatment for these crystals is a bad idea. However, even though it could be the placebo effect, they do have a positive impact on my mental state and i feel as if they help Calm and relax me.

I once saw online this girl put crystals in 3 mason jars filled with water and left them in the freezer to freeze. When she took the jars out of the freezer, the water was crystalized but only around the crystals. It seemed believable that the healing properties were the crystallization surrounding the crystal.
