- We built our most epic deer hunting cozy survival shelter in some undiscovered WILDERNESS complete with it's own fire place!!
Dugout in the forest on top of a large granite boulder we put our bushcraft skills to the test. Using all the tools we had on hand and everything we could find around us to make this survival shelter a complete, warm and welcoming home away from home.
Hunting Sambar deer in the Victorian high country and connecting with nature is our most favourite and rewarding thing we love doing.
Sambar deer are known as ghosts of the Australian bush especially here in Victoria so being able to hunt them is an experience that we hold very dearly to our hearts and are very passionate about.
We plan on doing many trips back to our shelter to improve it. Spending days on end alone out in the bush, surviving amongst nature were it is peaceful and we can watch the wildlife walk right past our front door.

Do you guys have any videos, or plan to do any videos, really detailing how you preserve meat in the wilderness without refrigeration? Say, after a successful hunt, showing how to preserve the meat right away? I'm talking about a LOT of meat, and not just some thin slices of jerky to go in a bag. A FULL animal. That would be awesome. I've not seen anything like that on RUclips yet.

NAILS... inside your build. Facing inwards, for you to hang things on, can be dangerous.
You can fall onto them, lean on them or poke ya eye out. More so at night time or if your tired.
Figure a better solution guys.

Poor dog, onions are toxic bad for dogs. Whether raw or cooked, fried or powdered, onions and the rest of the allium family (garlic, shallots, leeks, and chives) are harmful to dogs.

Hunting, any kind of hunting world wide , is engaged in by two classes. The very poor and the very wealthy. If your life is being conducted in any way whatsoever that includes the word survival you have lost control of a very large part of your life. If you are hunting for survival and you live in North America, then there are far greater problems going on to have the luxury of hunting anything let alone Deer 🦌!
The Wealthy engage in hunting because they own vast stretches of land and property that hold game animals and they can decide who and what if anything or anyone can hunt on their property. That’s life and that is exactly how hunting works! Enjoy!!
