I served with MSG Benavidez after Vietnam. He was a humble, professional man who always looked out for fellow soldiers. A genuine patriot! RIP, Roy.
This man is a hero among heroes! He served his fellow man with respect and dignity
this is a person they should make a movie for
I think #SonyPictures or #Netflix is doing it...
name of movie should be "Our Hero, Roy Benavidez"
If this isn't a man and a hero none exists.!
One Tough MAN!!!
I hope Hollywood someday makes a movie about this gentleman.
True American Hero
Such a Brave Warrior and Patriot. Rest in Peace and God bless you.
He’s my grandmas cousin. He grew up with both my grandparents, I love hearing stories about him growing up
A great American and an outstanding soldier. He deserved the Medal of Honor.

I am proud to be part of a drill team in Edinburg Texas name after MSG Roy P. Benavidez. MSG Benavidez is A true patriot and a fighting killing machine. 🇺🇸
This man also at the end of his life would visit other veterans on Veterans Day in Audie L Murphy VA Medical Center in San Antonio. He was a humble hero. I believe Ft. Hood should be renamed for this man.
Renaming Fort Hood in honor of this man is an excellent idea. I intend to vocalize your idea to my friends on Facebook and with your permission state that I received the idea from your comment.
I believe that all of the statues erected in honor of soldiers from the Civil War, North and South, be displayed at Gettysburg positioned in their representative location of the forces they had joined and create a singular site where Americans could visit and learn the importance and profundity of their sacrifice from their own perspective.
Renaming Fort Hood is a great idea.
Fort Benevidez sounds fantastic to me.
@@hoosieronan😊
more than inspirational ...................rest in peace roy..................
Moves one to tears to hear of his experiences! A great American!
What an amazing storyteller! I think every child in America should have to listen to his story and be inspired❤
I watched on Mr.Ballen's site here at You Tube a more detailed history of Mr.Benavidez. It is by far the most extraordinary story I have ever heard of a soldier's singular act of courage in any battle , anywhere at any time in history. Thank you for your service Mr.Benavidez. If any of us could be half the human being you were we should consider our life to be an honorable and successful achievement.
The real life Rambo
Rambo is a sissy compared to Roy.its incredible what he did. God Bless him.

The famous Roy Benavidez speech to this day gives me goosebumps. Rest in paradise Mr. Benavidez, may your legacy forever live on in America’s glory

I love learning about MOA awardees and the act they did to earn the medal. MSG Roy Benavidez's story is incredible , amazing and makes me feel so insignificant because I didn't earn the freedom, liberties and rights I enjoy. He and all others that served this great nation have my utmost appreciation , respect, and my sincere welcome home soldiers wishes. God bless each and all and the USA..
I WANT A MOVIE ABOUT HIM!! True warrior!
Thank you for your leadership and service…👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻…🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸!!!
If I could only have been a tenth of this man.
Damn! This needs to be a movie!!
Red white and blue and Army OD Green. HOOAH
Not to be snarky. In all seriousness, his story sounds like Forest Gump. The Vietnam scene where he rescued Bubba and Lt. Dan. His friend was black, he work with officers he saved everyone. Was Roy’s story the inspiration and how Forest got the MOH? Roys story brought me to tears. True American.
Hit twice by a Viet Cong sniper in the left leg and fragments in my stomach from a AK 47 rifle
An American patriot.
🙏🏽♥️🇺🇸
Goat
Roy Benavidez was no doubt deserving of the Medal of Honor and what a privilege it must have been to be presented the award by the greatest President this country has ever seen in Ronald Reagan, God Bless the both of them.
