I've been to many shows. No one quite has the stage presence and charisma of the great Francesca Gagnon. Vai Vadrai, Alegria and especially Mirko. Wow what a powerful performance re Mirko!

Incredibly beautifull and surprisingly profound the Luzia songs, La Lucha 13:12 and Tiembla la Tierra 17:24, singed by tremendous Majo Cornejo. As a mexican (and spanish speaker, of course) I could appreciate the deep meaning of this songs, the significate that they have, specially for México and mexicans, something not very common at Cirque su Soleil’s songs repertoire. The first one talk about the lost innocence, the nostalgic memories, the beauty of the simple things (as simple is the song), and the slowlly painfull destruction of nature, but giving a space for hope and the strength that it provides.
The second song give us several images of domestic and “common” acts and things, the land, the hugs, the fire, the kisses, the towns, the old men, friendship, voices, family, smoke, birds, romance, colors, poetry, skies, blood, night, kids and clouds; all of them connected by their tremor (temblor), their movement (Nahua’s concept of “Ollin”), their vitality (passion), their “earthquake”, a very common natural phenomenon in central and south México. When México trembles there are always changes, events that forever transform us all, so don’t be afraid (no te asustes), something is going to happen (algo va a pasar), all is going to change (todo va a cambiar).
I don’t know if someone ever notice all this elements at the songs, but for a spectacle that its inspired by México, this is not a coincidence.
Inside Me from Volta, along with Joey Arrigo’s Contemporary dance has to be one of my favorite Cirque Du Soleil scenes ever.
Oh how my heart yearns every time I hear the Coming Home tune from BAZZARR❤ I wish the album was available 😢

I still think one of Cirques most beautiful pieces is the song during The Firefly boy, strap duo, in Ka. Sadly I’ve never seen it recorded anywhere else except in the video recording.
