Black men and suits has a long history. I remember going to KG's men's store and seeing all kinds of varieties, from one button to nine buttons and more, from a two-piece to a six-piece suit. Just look at many black preachers, entertainers, and pimps. Anything goes in the interest of creating your own brand. The problem is that some people, especially from other cultures or backgrounds can consider suits like his to be a clown show or pretentious. I guess it depends on the standards of the group you are trying to conform to. I still remember the older man in the lime green hat, lime green gators, lime green nine-button suit, and lime green cane sauntering into a local Black restaurant.... He would say you were the crazy one, with all your fashion rules.
Great pointers. I believe the suit didn’t match his personality, the suit is wearing HIM. Looks like he borrowed it. The cuff is a rule, but the pant length is where I see variations
Well done video brother. This is how I like to tell young guys how to dress with the break above the shoes, tailored vs off the rack and the difference between brogues, wingtips, oxfords, monk strap and captors. As well as using shoe horns and pairing quality clothes with mass produced garments. Awesome content.
I actually picked out a Zara's Man's suit from a donation bin, and all the pockets were sewn closed. I had to Google why. I decided to leave them closed for a better fit, pockets eventually sag. I also wear H&M, and you can visually see the difference in quality. I have a pair of Aldo shoes,. and I tried them on with the H&M pants, it never looked right. I tried them on with the Zara's suit,. and damn they look good together.
Gentlemen, if I could make a further suggestion, get your vest straps together before going out. In the event that you remove your jacket, you don’t want straps going every which way, for them to be uneven ir for your vest to be over drawn in the back.
I've been wearing suites for 40 years, and i learned a few pointers, specifically about buttons. Thank you.
Everything MM explained about wearing a suit is on point.
It’s the little things and not just the big things that only a father can show his son. Like how to wear a suit and what type of suit to wear
0:12 Exactly how I be looking with my 3 piece suit. Ladies love it 🥰. Ball and Chain is quick to say he's mine get your own 😂😂😂
Subbed! It’s time to bring back elegance of dressing well all time like people of the 1940s
That brother looked like he was going on Soul Train.

Whatever works for you, bro!
That suit is way too trendy. It looks "good" now. But in 6 months, it will be back to '89 Bobby Brown status.
"Tell me why!"🎶

I gotta make a trek out to the Andre Julius showroom in Williamsburg VA or Richmond! Thanks MM for putting us on his suits!
The word you are looking for is, cuff. Proper cuff balance is an essential
Btw 2012 and 2016 I should show up on first dates in a suit 😂
Pure terror on the dating market 😂

You seem to know your suits good job.
I wasn't aware of any of this😢
Short-sleeved shirt? 🤣
What are some of your favorite watches under $1,000 ?
Tissot Prx is always good for that price range. Looks cleaner than a Grand Seiko to me.
My exact question…
I don't like his suit! Too much going on!! I like traditional solid colors!
Way too trendy and young.
