I was waiting for your reaction to this performance by Angelina Jordan, because it is a culmination of hard work over a decade, and she is at her peek, and for 16 that is more than impressive. I wouldn’t go so far as to say she has surpassed my personal favorites, because she went to school on Ella Fitzgerald, so has the student now surpassed the teacher, not yet, but she is right there. I can’t name 5 that had her talent and artistry at her age, but we can’t forget Mariah Carey, she was equally as talented at the same age as Angelina Jordan, but it was to be expected, her mother was an opera singer, it was in her house when she grew up, just like art was in Angelina’s house too, her grandmother was a child prodigy herself as an artist and poet. Angelina may still be the student, but she will be the teacher one day, and her superstardom is all but assured.
I've read comments that stated Angelina said she felt a connection to this song the first time she heard it. That would explain how she was able to post a TikTok video 6 hours after it was released, and this masterpiece 12 days later. Some have said they think Angelina is singing about herself growing up. I could also see that possibility, and it could explain the connection. No matter if those things are true or rumors, what is a fact is that she did a phenomenal job on this. I felt the passion and emotion without the need of a video to help explain it. Angelina a piano and a mic and she's good to go.
Angelina at 15 is the MASTER. As of Dec, 2021; her social media presence is equally impressive as she’s racked up over a billion RUclips views, and 2.5 billion Facebook views, and has garnered praise from Time, CNN, BBC, and People. She has now done the song “Mercy” in the sound track of “Hating Game Movie” that just came out.

As usual; AJ has taken this to an ethereal level she is without a doubt a genius. Absolutely you are correct, we owe so much to Angelina's family for providing a caring, loving and educational environment, allowing her natural talent to blossom. Angelina's family has brought her to at least 4 continents, exposing her to so much while Angelina was able to share her music with so many different cultures. Even after about 170 reactions to this performance, I still get emotional seeing Angelina cuddling with her grandmother Mery at the start of the video. Let's go easy on Angelina and her family and allow them all the time they feel necessary before asking Republic Records to begin to promote her. The last thing we ever want to see posted in comments is, "they should have waited longer".
