Nicely Done. Malaysia has many talented Architects and Designers and the open space / land and tropical weather allow them to push the boundary of design… in addition, many wealthy Chinese families with a strong sense of luxury home ownership desire (look! My house.. come and look..)…

Not the biggest fan of the exterior facade, but holy moly the interiors and patio/deck areas are stunning! Great job! Modern luxury
That island in the show kitchen is an art piece in itself wow and the "dirty" kitchen is a show stopper too.
Absolutely love the use of the natural stone finishes in every room. Would have liked to see more of the natural stone and wood materials on the front facade.

Woahhh!! I have been watching houses videos from around the world incld USA esp LA, NYC, Spain etc maybe around 200++ over the last 6 months..I am frm Singapore btw..this one is so so different. Like not only in terms of different from other concepts with the typical marbles and wood and whatsover, this is like really customized to the tee. u get me at the swimming pool. I hated those which is exposed and your neighbours can see type. just becos of the pool I will usually say neh not my type of houses. but this one captured my attn. U knw how to hide that pool even though it is in the middle of the house. as simple as covering it with that sheltered like roof. and those lines at the sides in the pool made so much difference to the look of that pool. The wet kitchen design is also not a typical look. if u re selling me this house, that is the selling pt...and the reading nook at the master bedrooms and how you again make the 'balcony' intimate and private. those will be my favourite spots

Construction is fast though, cheap, less building code requirements to compliment the relatively high labor cost.

Depending on upwards Sq footage (putting ownership status asides for a moment) ones property is graded as aforementioned. A bungalow is a small single story dwelling typically under 2000sq. A 10000 sq ft interior space is a huge proportioned property. Bungalow = Detached in your terms

    • @johnwilliams1238

@@jylaw9495 Yes, I’ve visited Malaysia many times and I love the country. It’s beautiful and I like the people. I’ve looked into moving there. I’m sorry if I made you feel misunderstood. I’m from Viet Nam, but I know Malaysia isn’t like Viet Nam, but it’s not like Singapore either. I think my previous comment was misleading (I’ve deleted the misleading part); I wasn’t only thinking about Malaysia or this particular owner, I was thinking more generally about how some rich people lack awareness and are self-absorbed and don’t think about the impact they (could) have on others. In the case of Malaysia, like you say, its economy has been doing well, attracting foreigners and businesses. But because of that, the housing prices have been going up because rich people, especially foreigners, buy houses for higher prices, causing gentrification- I know this because I’ve looked into buying a house there myself. But again, I’m not really talking only about Malaysia. Globally, it’s happening in many, many parts of the world. It’s especially bad in places like Bali and Venice. A lot of wealthy people (especially foreigners) take advantage of the local land, local labor, and a lot of the beautiful local things, but they don’t share the burdens of the local people, take away these things from them (because now the prices are too high), and creating more inequalities. You can argue that this is the cost of capitalism and prosperity. I’m not anti-capitalist and this might not that bad in Malaysia, but there are certainly poor people in Malaysia and that's too many for me. Globally, inequalities have grown over the years. I’ve been very frustrated with wealthy people spending so much on luxurious things they don’t need when they could spend money to make the world a better place. If those who have the power and resources (not just the rich but also the leaders of the world) had more sense of moral responsibilities, awareness of and compassion for others’ suffering, and could be become more selfless, many of the world’s problems could be solved in an instant. So I’m just sad and frustrated, that’s all. ☹Thank you for your comment!

This is a very opulent and luxurious design, but the designers have managed to make it work together harmoniously. Of course this is a huge mansion, but being multi-generational with so many people (l2 grandparents, 2 parents and 5 children are shown here), the size makes much more sense than usual.
With so many generations, you would ideally want everyone to have their own private space and a common space to be together. Usually people don’t have the money to give everyone the space they really want in multi-generational living , but if you have the money go for it.
Also, with multi-generational living, you ideally want space for the children to grow up and live with the family too (or at least while they’re single adults). In regular houses, the kids leave as adults, partly due to space (and privacy) constraints.
