Thank you for your comments Apostoli! We will be back this summer as the beauty of Greece is unparalleled and the winds are constantly blowing. I have lived in Greece for 25 years - love to come back year after year 🙏
@@JustGoKitesurfing Lucky! Been kiting for 20 years now and most accidents I seen happen simply by jumping over things or horsing around at the beach (beachstarts etc.)
Couldn’t agree with you more! I am a father of two girls and wouldn’t risk jumping any stuff just for the fun of it. It only takes one moment for your life to change…
Guys you are great.!! Just a few questions. I ve been going to Lefkada for 2 years kiting. I have 2 kids. I chose this place because there is something to do after kite sessions with the family. From your experience so far is there any other place where you can kite but also go with the family and have a nice time? ( wife does not kite at all- this is trouble sometimes) ? I ll be in Lefkada this year 5-19 July. Cheers !
Thank you for your positive comments! This year I will be with my 2,5 year old daughter and wife, traveling to kite in Greece. I picked to stay in Nafpaktos as a base. From there you have 3 kitespots very close by: Nafpaktos beach (5' by car from the city), Drepano (30' by car crossing the bridge) and finally Dioni (1,5 hours) - At Raches (2,5 hours drive) there's a beach bar for your family to enjoy the sun and water as it's flat on the area where kiters are not allowed! Accommodation is a bit tricky but if you book in advance you will certainly find something. I will be in Greece in 5 weeks and will create videos for these spots as SPOT REVIEWS will all the details of where to eat and what to do after your session. Make sure to subscribe and you'll be notified once I release these videos :) Hope this helps!
Thanks a lot! Actually we did go to Naxos on that trip and left earlier. Was way too gusty and choppy! Beautiful island but I didn’t enjoy kitesurfing there that’s why I had no footage 😅 I’ve heard much better feedback for Paros. Less choppy for sure ;) Certainly will visit with a strong Meltemi wind 💨 Keep having fun 🚀
Hey there! Nafpaktos is ideal for beginners. Very light chop, steady wind and shallow waters. The best of all is that it's not crowded at all. For more information you can reach out to the local school Wind Circus. Check the video that I made exclusively for Nafpaktos. You will get a better sense of the spot and conditions
I'm from Florida and geeece is deff in my bucket list. Can anyone give me a list of spots I should check out ? Would be with the wife so looking for something to do with her as well. What time of year?
Hey hey! Thank you for your comments! A quick list of locations would be: Nafpaktos, Dioni, Raches, Drepano for mainland and then Paros, Naxos, Prasonisi in Rodos for islands. Happy to answer with more details. There is also an very helpful Facebook group "Kitesurf Greece" where we can respond with more details. Hope this helps!
Thanks for watching Jurgis! 🤘 The whole video was shot between July 1st until July 20th. I recently published a Vlog about Nafpaktos specifically. Best season for Nafpaktos is April until July. Cheers!
@@jurgis_g Winter in Greece is not the best for kitesurfing 😂 I booked Cape Town for beginning Dec. Supposed to be the best wind season 🚀🚀 … never been before
Apparently no… I heard it from a few other kitesurfers.. I guess we were super lucky! Nafpaktos and Drepano though… you will always find some wind in the area 🤙🤘 I hope you managed to have some fun even without the wind!
Very nice video as a greek being kiting to all above places i agree 100%
Thank you for your positive comment :) I also love Drepano but after July it’s getting super crowded :/
