Wow, so people can just go to a public beach and pick driftwood like that. It's illegal here in the Province I live in Canada to remove anything that is natural from a public beach, park, trails, creeks etc. whether it is river rocks, driftwood, plants, trees, soil, or even anything which could be a natural habitat. I have seen people going with a totes to pick large quantity of potato rocks from the lakefront and getting in trouble with law.
