Agree about impacts. I like to bring up Ida from 2021. I'm in NJ so when it arrived here it wasn't even a tropical storm anymore. I spent most of the night under the kitchen table due to tornado warnings (rare here). The flooding was so bad I couldn't go to work the next day. More people died in NJ than in LA. It doesn’t need to be a hurricane to cause problems
Well the national hurricane center just updated that in the Atlantic with that delvopment chance with that x
It's going to be rough when it finally happens. I'm prepared for any scenario. I've lived in Florida for 46 years. I know when to prepare

Almost 20 years since Hurricane Charley made landfall in SW Florida (8/13/2004.) I was in Miami, where things got very chaotic trying to prepare for the storm's impacts. Punta Gorda got the eye of the hurricane and it was devastated.

The EURO dropped development of the tropical wave as Mr. Hazelton stated on X.
One model run. The 00z made it what a 1004mb storm? Not much difference there. Lets see what the ensembles say, they are coming in now. The NHC has it at 0/20, so that is what I will be watching too.
To add, the reason the 12z does not develop it is because the energy is over the islands and land interaction prevents it. Those details do matter.
There is an awful lot of selling fear about this summer's hurricane season.
It's not fear it's preparedness
Would you want to know in advance? Or 2 days out? Knowledge is being prepared. And being prepared is the knowledge of what is to come.
