Man, I haven't seen someone lay down beads that nice with a stick welder in years. My father was an old school fitter and turner who taught me how to stick weld, still can't get em that clean.

Nice job 1 question why did you not use rusteolum hammerite paint it give your tank a nice finish and if you scratch or sent SPRAY covers most deep.scratches I did my so compressor
Hi Could you precise all the dimensions of the tubes you used ? It would be very kind from you!! Another question : where did you find the big piece of tube and the tap used to fill with the sand??? I've never found any on the web😱😱 I saw tones of videos about that but your sandblaster is in the top 3 for me thanks to the simplicity and all the "options" like the protection for the pressure excess or the manometer etc
Its AC stick welder and its about 20yo. Its hard to work with it . Difficult to start sometimes need many hits sometimes stop and more but ok its work..... btw I will buy a new dc stick welder soon. Thanks for your comment dude!
@@MaverickProjectsOfficial I've got my dad's old buzz box. I always liked welding with it. It's a Montgomery ward, so that tells ya how old it is. This one has a slide controller for the amperage, so you can put it were you want. I like that feature. Happy building
I am pretty sure that the supply disconnect is in the front on the right. You notice he put a "T" fitting on the front to pressurize the tank and ran a hose from there to the bottom "T" to pick up the sand and ran the discharge hose out the back between the wheels. It looks like the discharge hose is coiled up on top in the very last of the video. I would use a male quick-disconnect so I could just use the same hoses i use for everything else in the shop. The only thing I would change is to put the shut off valve on the quick disconnect side so I don't get the spew of air when you disconnect. Also I would put a 20 micron water trap on the supply side. You can pick up one for about 20 bucks at home depot or sears., sorry lowes. Damp sand doesn't work well at all. I also use play sand and run it through a screen. I made a screen funnel and placed it in the top. It is a whole lot cheaper than grit and easy to re-use, just filter it again. Hope this helps. If I am wrong, please feel to correct me. Please be sure to use a respirator and face mask. The sand dust is just as bad for your lungs as asbestos. I just buy the paper suite at HD and when done throw it away so I don't get sand dust everywhere. When done just blow down and remove the suit. that way you don't breathe the dust when you take your mask off.
Hi What kind of compressor i could use to make a good sandblasting at least? My father has a 100 l but its only 16m3 /hour that is to say a 266 L / min Do you think it would be ok ?? Thanks again
Wow thanks so much for the vid. Im looking to build a sandblaster like this as im way tired of the small handheld one which I have to constantly shake to get any sand out. Now I just need to see if we got any old gas tanks laying around I can use.
You should really use some kind of lubricant when you drill holes through steel. Will keep the drill bit sharp a lot longer and will prevent it from snagging on the metal and breaking the bit or hurting your hand etc
It shame that we have to do lot of guess work as you didn't thoroughly explain how the system is going to work and the safety in place. Really disappointing as the video itself was awesome. Now I have to go and search more videos to gather more information. It's like giving hungry cat a fish suspended high up in clothes line 😲🤔😟🧐🥴
Good idea. We admire such technologists ' Jogaroo Engr. " after Jigs /Fixtures.

Hi meverick.very good job. May you list what size of pipe used n other thing has been use to make this sandblasting?
Hi Maverick, Do you have a list of the parts needed to build the blaster ie. 1. gas bottle. 2. gadgets etc...
Those stick welding skills are awesome m8 ! 😍😏👌👍
What stick size you use and at what amps ?
Looks solid. Fantastic welds with the stick!
How much did it cost all in??
Nice job best I’ve seen so far.

Hi what kind of rod did you used a 6011 or 7018 for that nice projet
You can use 6010 for root pass and 7018 to fill
Great idea, I'm going to be building one of these.
Would it have been better/ easier to use the blaster to take the paint off the gas bottle.
Nice creation! Can you please help me with the size of the fittings used?
do you connect the conpressor to the T pipe above ?
Nice sand blaster. I have a single piston compressor. Do you think it will work? Or it's too slow to raise the working pressure
Awesome design man! What sizes of fittings and valves did you use?
Why is your welder so smooth!!
Is it an AC welder?
Yes right!
In this video I used AC welder!!
@@MaverickProjectsOfficial Would you tell me which brand?
A part number would be so helpful!
What hose did you use ?
Hey Maverick. It was good to see someone use an arc welder, and can actually weld. Anybody can mig. Good job. Peace

Ac welders its forever .... Dc welder is recyclable!!

Great job. Tell me please how long this fuse nozzle works? How long can you sand on it? What is the 6, 10 or 16 amp fuse?
I think its no difference between 6/10/16 amp fuse, its the same size only wire inside have different diameter for right amp :)

What is the capacity of the air compressor needed here?
200 litre ok used to have one of these sand was very soar on the valves wore holes on the sides of them
You should put descriptions i.e. sizes and stuff
How much presure need to work good, and how much capacity is your compresor tank
Its works nice 6-8 bar . My compressor is 200lt.

Good job, great stick welding. What kind of electrodes did you use?
E-7018 works fine for this kind of projects
Why do you insert water at the beginning ?
Is this easy to make may i ask,?
That’s really nice job mate thanks to share this
Thanks you so much for you contribution. 🤩👍
good job :) 1/2 or 3/4 ?
Todo bien pero porque no aplico el sand blasting al tanque con la misma arenadora
Thanks for sharing this informative and useful video
Excellent piece, thanks for sharing.
*Fast forwards to see if this guy is building an IED* Oh this guy DID put the safety pressure relief valve on his tank LOL
Good job. I hope those fittings you welded are not galvanized.
Great job man ! I'm going to make one . Thanks for posting

Great work! Did you use that fuse casing as a nozzle?
Thank you !!! Yes and its works fine. You will see it in my next projects if I use the sandblaster.

Excelente trabajo
Solo una crítica
Debió remover la pintura con la misma arenadora
Missed the opportunity to sand blast the diy sandblaster 🤯
Where is the compressor
Excellent 👌
Hi nice work but instead of grind your tanks sand blast then air blow paint after
great video

Why didn't you actually blast the blaster before you painted it instead of sanding it by hand 😅. Great job
Good Job :)

Many people scratching their heads at you hand sanding a sand blaster.
good job
You could sandblast your own sandblaster instead of sanding
Might used some hose on your HANDLE I was thinking cheap that floating snake
bad idea to put airline from bottom because water builds up in the bottom from the air and mixes with the sand for sandblasting
Porque lijas la máquina si se supone que la máquina es para eso, QUE INTELIGENTE, no te alegres ESTOY SIENDO SARCÁSTICO!!!!!!!!

Why i didn’t he use the sander itself to sand the tank before spray painting it? Lol
use the sandblast tank to sandblast the sandblast tank
Nice work bit It Is not clear how does It work. Nice Better a schematic
forgets to fill it with water...ends up on best gore...
