      Wild4Games I always do a check for my mic to make sure I sound the way I want to, and make sure I’m not too loud or quiet.
      I also check my camera to make sure I’m centered in it, and make sure the chroma key isn’t fuzzy or nothing I’m wearing is disappearing.

      I always make sure I have my Twitch Chat Window popped out so I can actually read the chat, there's no point in streaming if you're not interacting with your viewers, at that rate, you might as well ONLY do youtube videos.

    I have a checklist right on my phone. Something I always check is my camera settings. Sometimes the focus or white balance reset so always verify it’s looking good before going live. Also, run through all of your scenes to make sure something didn’t get moved or disabled. Last... make sure your mic is muted before you go live. Nothing worse then talking to yourself while the intro is playing!

    Hello Wild, love your videos. Although I am not sure about that 10-15 minutes starting screen.
    I had 5 minutes long starting screen and what happened was - people came in and left within 20 seconds, because they were not going to wait 5 minutes for some random Jimmy Nobody starting his stream. I cut it down to 2,5min before my intro rolls out and I start streaming. Some people give it a go, but still many just come in and leave because 2 minutes to wait is too long for them.
    I believe 10-15 minutes of starting screen is only good for big streamers because even if a newcomer enters the stream, the hype in chat can motivate them to stay and see what is the hype all about and if the streamer is really that good. What do you think?

    • @Wild4
      @Wild4  5 лет назад +2

      Its completely up to what you think will be best - The argument could be made with a short start up screen no one showing up or engaging and they leave thus leaving you with less energy.
      To each there own. Do what works best for you 💪

    Great video! It convinced me to work on adding a "starting soon" screen to my streams. My biggest struggle is when the stream context changes and I need to change part of my setup. For example, when I switch from streaming a console game to streaming a PC game, I have to change settings in OBS. It gets even more complicated when I'm going from a console stream one day, to a PC stream with Discord voice chat the next. Testing that audio before I go live on Twitch is always difficult and takes forever. Would you happen to have any tips for testing the audio quality? Is there some stream preview for Twitch I don't know about like on RUclips?

      Wild4Games I can turn on monitoring but somehow it always sounds different when it's output into the stream. For now I've been doing a recording first, playing that back, and adjusting as needed.

      I will give you my super secret - shhhhh don’t share this with anyone….. Make a second account (A Bro Scrub Account if you will) this account is only for testing audio, lighting, plug-ins, ect) when you dial it in. Transfer those settings over to your Main account. All hail da Wild

    Number 8 (posting to social media) rings true for me. I did a stream on my birthday on November 9th. Looking at notifications when I took a short health break to stretch and refill my water, my very first tweet saying I was about to go live got liked by a Faze Clan member (who doesn't even follow me) so you never know who will see and react to your tweet or other social posts

    I would say a good thing to do is check audio levels. It's a real turn off when I go to check out someone's stream and their game/music audio is drowning out their voice entirely.

      Do you happen to have a video on resources someone can use during a stream? More specifically music (either free or good sources for paid memberships). To build on top of that, what happens if one cancels said membership but posts a Twitch stream to something like RUclips with the music? Thanks in advanced!

  • @silentkaster

    Don't see it in the comments, but might have missed it. Make sure your bot/streamlabels and any extensions or plug ins you used are turned on. Sometimes these also require updates or will have sign in issues that take only a few minutes before stream to fix, but might take significantly longer on stream if you're involved in a game or activity and only have a few moments.

    • @Wild4
      @Wild4  5 лет назад

      Always good to check out updates on all your programs that will be used... that is a good tip for sure 💪

    i stream for an hour .My stream is a video mix.No one sees me they see my content .No one sees the studio either just the content.My stream is not a gaming stream...I cant leave my streaming software and computer idling it freezes or crashes if i leave it too long so i get on the computer and set everything up in about five to ten minutes .My schedule is up on twitch .It never changes and its one day a week.I save my work and post my stuff on youtube .On there it often needs re editing or re re editing because of copyright issues with either the video or audio or both.Twitch eventually mutes part of my show and then it will get dropped at some point so its just as well i save them.
