Fängt genau da an, wo Teil 1 endete. Danke!
I love how much industry is still in Switzerland, completely different to Australia where all the industry alongside the railway is virtually extinct, so many derelict branch lines to once productive factories :(
Interesting video. In the end we actually cross from Switzerland into Germany, and that too in the freight yard. Loved when we'd crossed Rhein river, want to whine, whine, whine all the time. 😄😄😄🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵The river actually enchanted me.
I enjoyed this video and gave it a thumbs up. Note: After watching I scrolled down to see comments and noticed there must have been a "first part". Had this been labeled "second part" , I would have watched the "first part" first.
I agree, I did not label them correctly, RUclips's titles are limited to only a 100 characters, I've declared that in the description. But it's not that the second part isn't watchable when the first one wasn't watched first. The first one is the brown coal freight train, here: ruclips.net/video/u5ZmrTJs47Q/видео.html Glad you liked it!
Great pictures in good weather conditions and it was interesting to see a different route. It still appeared on a map from twenty years ago, so closure to passenger traffic was not much before 2000. As mentioned in an earlier comment, the wagons are surprisingly clean.
Outstanding. You said that was coal dust on the tracks. If the wind picks it up everyone along the tracks are breathing it. It can cause all kinds of problems.
Presumably, the route with the loaded train takes into consideration the severity of the gradients and the maximum power output of the locomotive, which still has to be a consideration when coming back with the empties, even if its by a different route... I like the way that you put onto the video the train length, weight, brake force available and maximum permitted speed... all the things that a driver needs to know to safely work the train... and of course carry out a brake continuity test before departure, making sure that the tail lamp or tail end markers are properly displayed on the rearmost wagon...
Damn, that's going to be a long walk back to the station, but having been sitting on your backside for several hours, the walk might be welcome. As with your other productions, highly enjoyable.
Not really, Weil am Rhein is right there and there are passenger trains and even Trams from Basel available. Depending on the schedule we do indeed walk a lot and it is mostly welcome.
@@RailwayEmotions Ah, I did wonder. It was the view of your train passing between the two already 'parked?', no - stabled, that gave the impression of a long walk. I did mean to add a couple of questions. 1) What's the building in Basle (Basel) that looks like an aeroplane tail? 2) Do you do the uncoupling and coupling when you run round the train away from a yard? That wasn't something that crossed my mind when you were driving pasenger stock.
Was wird damit gemacht?
Another great video. Could I ask what is the train in the siding to the right, just after you leave Rekingen, looks to have 11 cars, and maybe a restaurant (red car?). It's even visible on Google maps at the moment (aerial not street view).
One thing else I notice, when you're running round at Rekingen (23:30), if the ground shunting signal is off that presumably gives you permission to pass the starting signal at danger?
Another great trip, especially going through the yard at Basel. When you transition between Swiss and DB, what do you change on the locomotive? Is it different voltage? Does the same locomotive stay on that train all the way to Frechen?
