The US behaves like no international laws apply to them. The US blew up the German/Russian 'Nordstream' pipelines which are also civilian infrastructure, setting a precedent that targeting civilian infrastructure of another nation is legitimate, even if that nation is an supposed to be and ally as in the case of Germany.

Glonass is Russia's version of GPS, not communications and surveillance as stated here. There may be some of that functionality as well but it is not their primary mission.

S550 can in fact shoot down satellites. I wish it couldn’t but it can.
The truth is that Russia doesn't need to use S-550 to shot down the U.S. satellites, even the S-400 with long range missile variant will take them down, and already have tested on their own satellite last year. Those numbers posted on these Russian air defense (same with the offense) systems on the internet are severely underrated. They even have long range jamming capabilities (EW) built in to them.
And it very expensive missile, btw starlink is the size of table, and also not dead satellite, most of Russian test carry on dead satellite, starlink capable of avoid obstacle.
