Awesome review, covering most features and settings! Loved when you showed the acceleration in the different driving modes! The RZ may not have the longest range of EV vehicles, but the range is more than sufficient for my needs; and I love the luxury features, comfort, and reliability of a Lexus! Excellent review! Thank you!
Range will improve with age and use?? I do know EV range for the trip is impacted by how conservative or aggressive you drive, but overall avg max range doesn’t change too much overall with long term usage.
It would be nice to have a locking compartment for valuables, personal documents, etc...Things you don't want to share with valets or car wash guys. Hopefully car makers will consider this for future cars.
Level 2 chargers operate at 240 Volts, not 240 KW/h. It's a misconception to believe that a Level 2 charger, typically used at home, can replenish a battery from 10% to 80% in half an hour. This rapid charging capability is a feature of the Level 3 DC fast charger, which boasts an output of 240KW/H. However, it's crucial to note that the Lexus RZ 450e's maximum fast charging power is capped at 150 kW. The vehicle is equipped with a 71KW battery, offering a maximum range of 198 miles under moderate climate conditions. Range anxiety is a legitimate concern for electric vehicle (EV) owners, and the absence of a heat pump to warm the cabin in cold weather can significantly reduce this range to approximately 150 miles under real-world driving conditions. Moreover, the Lexus RZ 450e's charging speed is slower than most EVs on the market, with the exception of the Toyota BZ4x and Subaru Soltera, which utilize the same outdated battery chemistry. Misinformation about EVs can lead to confusion, especially for those unfamiliar with the technology. Your impressions appear to be based on incorrect information. It's essential to understand the differences in charging speeds among Level 1 (120 Volt outlet), Level 2 (240 Volt, akin to a home dryer plug), Level 3 (super charging), and Level 4 (super charging) chargers. Even if you connect to a 240 Volt Supercharger, the vehicle's maximum draw of 150 Kw/h under ideal weather conditions means that the vehicle is limiting the charge. For a high-end vehicle like this, such limitations could lead to dissatisfaction, especially for first-time EV owners. I've only watched two minutes of this video, and I find it not worth continuing due to the propagation of incorrect information. It's crucial to thoroughly understand a subject before creating content about it.
@@robhumberstone Takumi, Sonic Grey, never had an electric car before so not sure and took a 2 year lease, mileage is not so good but I am retiring this year so no commuting. Expect delivery end of April👍
Cool, I’ve ordered aether blue and have the Takumi too and leasing on a 2 year deal too (was a little bit more than a Qashqai!), I’m waiting on a delivery date from the dealer, would be good to keep in contact with you to share experience with you if that would be ok? Also what charger are you getting fitted at home?
Nu Luxe is half the weight of leather. Icons under the four arrows swap the four arrow menu. So, dual menus on each side. Center storage from the 3rd Gen RX returns.
This is a nice luxury car surrounding a mediocre EV and therefore overpriced. To be a luxury car it needs a bigger battery and faster charging. This car if for loyal Lexus customers who do not cross shop. If you are just driving around town and only charging at home this would be nice. I mean, if you have plenty of money of course.
Love your reviews and your style. Viewed a few of your reviews. Just subscribed. Thank you for the great quality and style…
Thank you!
Very useful information about these cool features, Thank you

Looks great and the range will improve with age and use. Outstanding!

Is this the the 20” wheels? I heard the 20” wheels also drops the range an additional 25 miles?
Excellent video !!! Thanks ! I buy my Lexus rz and this video save my life!!!!
Shame the mileage isn’t that good against its rivals though, however I’ve ordered one anyway and will get it in under 3 weeks here in UK 😁
So have I 👍
@@andrewhumphreys586 oh really! 😁

@@robhumberstone Ohme Pro 8m , let’s keep in touch if you like and see how it goes? Let me know when you get it and I will do same👍
How in the same breath you can say "it's made from sustainable materials" and then "this isn't wood, it's plastic" is beyond me.
Great information!!! Your awesome. Thank you !!!

Have you not heard of the Lexus ux electric car?
Not in North America...

No interior ambient lighting??, whaaaat bummer
The contrast of the car and presenter is not from this world.
Why does the screen keep flashing it distracting
Because the screen and the camera operate at different speeds. Headlights too. Sorry about that!
Nice. But that price…ouch!
I thought Lexus UX300e was the first electric car from Lexus ?
Yes that is correct, but the RZ 450e is the first all electric car only whereas the UX had a choice of hybrid also I believe
Limited ev range
Right
Most luxury EVs still has crappy range. My 2022 Etron has 240 mile range (and more like 200 miles real driving).
i have the 450NX. Lexus can do better on this car.
Poor range, high price. No,thank you.
Sorry this is junk. The range is junk
Compare with Tesla Autopilot this is a piece of crap.
