So glad my video inspired you to try one out! They have their quirks but are lots of fun to learn with. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions when it arrives 😁
Method 1 really is a good way to achieve a certain look that is only hard to achieve digitally. The whole random spots of un-developed film and the lumps and splotches. This is great if you do a Filmout of some footage you have shot earlier and manipulate it this way on the photochemical film level :) And all that at pretty dependable prices. For example, place your Camera in front of a Full HD (or 4K) LCD monitor, set it to the maximum brightness, pic a video you wanna record to Super 8, check the darkest and brightest moments of the Video in your Viewfinder and see what the lightmeter says, balance out the exposure for a good "Middleground" value for aperture and exposure (if exposure compensation is available on your camera) and then shoot the running video. I did this back in 2012 or so with a Bauer 107XL and a roll of Ektachrome 100D because the LCD i was using had a color temperature of 7000K or so. Which made it perfect for Daylight Balanced Film. I think anything between 5200K and 7200K should work well with Daylight balanced film. No matter if Negative or Reversal.
Completely agree about it being a great way to achieve a super experimental and organic look. I hear bucket processing is also good for this but am yet to try it myself. Really interesting idea using this technique to super8ify an already captured video! Well definitely try this myself at some point 🙂
Thank you! I agree it's a great little thing. I used the fomapan reversal developing kit as I shot fomapan r100 for both black and white films in the video 🙂
Been looking through your channel, great videos! I saw you buy Foma kits for B/W reversal. Have you considered mixing from scratch? I'd love to share some resources with you!
Awesome video! I ordered one of these cameras because of your first video and I’m looking forward to using it a lot in the future :)

@@Lo-fiCinebro could I ask you a question
Awesome video man. I have the same camera and it's such a little gem. What chemistry did you use to develop in the Lomo tank?

I wouldn't know where to begin mixing from scratch. Please share! 🙂
