This book changed my outlook on life. Not only did I accept that life is difficult, but also learned to enjoy the process while I work towards a goal. Daily mundane tasks, such as making meals, helping with homework or laundry, may seem trivial, but they show your family true love. I also learned to relish the serendipitous moments.

Fantastic Book. Mental health according to Peck is a total dedication to the truth. His explanation of people who take on too much responsibility vs. those who take on too little.
I read "The Road Less Traveled" around '98 and again in '19. The thing that really resonated with me then and now is the idea that healthy relationships are essential components in a happy, joyful life and that the participants are interested and supportive of one another's spiritual well-being. I am mindful of that in all of my best relationships, including my relationship with my life-partner. I have little time for the life-sucking vampires in my life. It's not that I don't care about them, it's just that they can't give or receive love. By the way, I used to be a vampire too,
Book is far deeper than lessons you summarized, especially lessons of love. It is only 4 hrs of audio book. Good efforts and good simplified summation.
Hey, there is a second book "Further along the road less traveled". It starts with "Life is complex". It would be great if you could do a video on this book, too.
Thank you for this. I have just finished reading this book. I first dipped into this book about 25 years ago. Can you explain what is meant by bracketing?
Hi Brandon.. among the 3 ideas mentioned 1 responsibility is accurate but in 2 and 3 there are problems. love is separateness is false, instead i will say Love is owning people without behaving like a owner.. and idea 3 its never okay to lie to protect strangers, coz i have faced strangers who are criminal minded taking favors by behaving as innocent.. rather i suggest speak what you see then verify the reality & help. I request you to question few ideas and concepts of books. we must make sure to be and create best life examples am i right.. Brendon???
I think it's also okay to lie when two people don't talk to each other because of disagreement or something, it's okay to lie and say that the other person said nice things about you and that he wants to talk to you again. So that they become friend again
There is a problem 4:52 the problem is the promise. I wouldn't have kept promises I'm not willing to keep. But even if you promise it is ok to lie to the police men, because it is someone else's burden (the man that asked for the promise) it is ok to keep someone else's lies or secrets because they are not your own.
It depends on personal responsibilities and balancing: if the man s escaping the police after committing a heinous crime and you lie to the police, delaying his capture it gives the man a chance to commit more crime. Is that OK? I say no. SO it is not ok to lie to the police, it is better to lie to the man! This is "balancing" - making morally, or ethically sound decisions.
Can we really really accept that life is extremely. Difficult ? Still having a positive attitude, stop & smell the roses? Of course! We will handle the problems Better!
+OnePercentBetter. It would be great if you focus more on entrepreneurship and startups as it would make you a niche player and also now a days everybody is obsessed about business and entrepreneur
Thanks Jatin, I really value your comment - You make a great point about being a niche player. As you've noticed, this channel is quite broad in topics covered: love, happiness, relationships, history, and general non-fiction. Over the course of the year, I'd love to give this channel a narrower focus. This channel is about you guys, so by commenting like you have, then I know what it is you want! Over the next few months, there will be more reviews of business books. Thanks again :) -Brandon
example in lesson 3 is wrong...Its OK to lie in your resume and in the time between interview and joining the job you LEARN how to use a 3D printer !! Been doing this for 12 years, never had an issue
B0Z0, So you have been changing jobs and lying about your qualifications for 12 years, You Are Special BOZO ! - You could be the President of the United States. :)
A better book on life's difficulties is Rabbi Harold Kushners book When Bad Things Happen To Good People. Kushners has a better understanding of suffering due to the death of his son at 14 yrs of age.
I liked this video because it talks about ideas and not celebrity gossip however the most important ideas are not in this video, god, destiny, love etc.
It's not a comparison. If everything happening the way you prefer and to your satisfaction - that is easy. The author says, it never happens that way. And it is always difficult

1/if there is a problem face it
2/honesty is freedom
my take away
Love isn’t separateness, it’s the realization that there’s no difference between anything.
Book is far deeper than lessons you summarized, especially lessons of love. It is only 4 hrs of audio book. Good efforts and good simplified summation.
Hey, there is a second book "Further along the road less traveled". It starts with "Life is complex". It would be great if you could do a video on this book, too.
Thank you for the suggestion Felix
Be fair bro, this video is good, isn't it? Otherwise you wouldn't ask for more
Great, fantastic book! Can help all especially the very young!
A relationship isn’t an entity. There’s simply you and others (who really are you). You relate to them.
Life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it👍

you do very good work! just want to ask is this summary sufficient or i can have more knowledge about life if i read the book?
It depends. Summaries can be efficient for some books, for others not. Do you feel the need to learn more?
I need this book 😢
Lying is never right.
Absolutes are never right
Interesting 🙂 what happened on the last part?I didn't understand. Did he tell the truth that the man hiding in the tree?
I think it's also okay to lie when two people don't talk to each other because of disagreement or something, it's okay to lie and say that the other person said nice things about you and that he wants to talk to you again. So that they become friend again
Lol I agree. Classic woman move though XD

just watched it again :-)
Hey, Do you mind to share the music you have used in the background?
This version may be not the final version of this book. I think it is simplified too much.
As always best
Can anyone tell me which whiteboard animation software was used in this presentation?
Hi John, I use VideoScribe goo.gl/8Ma4b3

10 years of therapy in a few minutes...
Where can I read this book
Point 2 is the Best...
A better book on life's difficulties is Rabbi Harold Kushners book When Bad Things Happen To Good People. Kushners has a better understanding of suffering due to the death of his son at 14 yrs of age.
Neither is better, just different. Big fan of both Peck and Rabbi Kushner.
What if the running man had just beaten up an old lady? What if he after kills someone because you lied to the police?
1:50 😵 *separateness (two a's)
That isn't a 3D printer.
I liked this video because it talks about ideas and not celebrity gossip however the most important ideas are not in this video, god, destiny, love etc.
But they are in the book ,read it, it's worth it
Book is not just 3 lessons.. Good job though... And oh, 3D printer is not that what you have shown.
Thank you sir
if you look closely its just an animation and not real pictures ..good job though
There are some benefit if you give some decent lessons to your child.
Still the part that talks about religion
Life is difficult compared do what?
It's not a comparison.
If everything happening the way you prefer and to your satisfaction - that is easy.
The author says, it never happens that way. And it is always difficult
