I don’t know how many times I have watched this video! This collaboration killed it! I am a fan of African music! This piece was taken to another level! Oliver was in a class of his own. This collaboration with Habib Koite nailed the African
I don’t know how many times I have watched this video! This collaboration killed it! I am a fan of African music! This piece was taken to another level! Oliver was in a class of his own. This collaboration with Habib Koite nailed it! African music has its space in the music gallery!
Wao! This music is a gem! We need to have an African musicology museum, where great masterpiece like this will be archived for future generations. Thank you Oliver, we will always remember you and your wonderful contribution to African music; RIP. Many thanks to the phenomenal Habib Koite and Afel Bocoum for forging this beautiful collaboration with the icon of Zimbabwe. This display of unity, is what we need more on this continent. I must say, I surprised that this doesn't have millions of views.
@@MaliZimbabwe You are welcome. I can't count how many times I have watched this. I watched the original, but this collaborative performance added something special to the music. It is a masterpiece!
As I repeatedly playing this song my neighbors reached to extent of asking " can you raise up volume the sound is so good though we can't understand what the song is all about. " It was like Live show in the village yard.
This song portrays the voice of a child asking their father why he has turned into a monster unto their mother. He comes home drunk and physically abuse their mother in their presence. "Tozeza baba" means we are scared of you father. Look up for it's dramatized video on RUclips and you will catch the story.
The song Tozeza Baba (afraid of the father) ...the father is always coming home drunk causing mayhem and constantly beating the mother...so the whole family is living in fear.
I can translate a little bit in English .It's about a family whereas the father is being feared by his wife and kids especially when he goes out to drink ,when he comes back he beats the wife in front of the kids and the mother is traumatized by the sake of the kids ,she saying I won't pack my bags and leave for the sake of my kids .Do whatever you want but i am staying for my kids and the kids are also asking why is it everytime when father drinks he beats mom what has she done that needs bitter punishment
