If you decide to give league one more try, I got an idea.
See, I’ve been on the cope train in league for years: playing mains to win, trying to counterpick, learning everything in the game to be the most versatile player, and even pulling a move you did and downloading some apps to look at game stats. None of it helped my wins.
Eventually, I remembered the key thing: games aren’t about LP, wins, numbers, any of that shit - they’re about having fun. So with that knowledge I’d amassed from before, I looked at the sandbox and invested in ways to “fuck around and find out” to have fun again. Sticking to this mentality of “fun > all else” I stopped caring about wins and rank numbers as much, playing to do stupid things and be ridiculous. And in all honesty, it worked!
Now I know this isn’t for every player, but when you do these shenanigans and theorycrafting enough, you can find some gems that kick absolute ass, being more powerful than 200years champs. It’s not common to find, but they do exist. After a small number of years doing these, I can confidently say playing meme/off meta picks and builds has helped me find ways to enjoy league again.
And what better way to do that than with friends? Recently I’ve finally been able to convince online friends of mine to join me in my bullshittery, and it’s been the most fun ever, with us cackling like goblins at the nonsense we’re doing. If you want to see some examples, you can either check some of my matches that I’ve already played, or the infinitely many I will in the coming years. But if you want some hands on experience, I’m down to add you and have some fun with one of league’s best content creators.
-You can find me as “SanicOP22” on League. I made the name like 7 years ago, and it is absolutely as cringe as it sounds, but frankly I wouldn’t have it any other way. As for times that work for me to goof off on the funny rift, I’m in US central, and after 4pm on weekdays is best for me right now in life.

I quit myself about 2 years ago and still watch your vids to remind myself why it was a good decision (and because they are hilarious and fun to watch). I am sure whatever content you do will be great no matter the game involved.

I became an aram player. I don't bother with ranked or even normals anymore. quick 20 minute match and fix of playing league and i'm happy. I don't care if i win or lose anymore either.

I’ve only played like 2 ranked/normals in my 3 year league career, fell in love with aram since the beginning and have never been in the toxic/sad scenarios most league players complain about online

Rav. There is no escape from League. I've been hardstuck Bronze for 7 years and I continue to torture myself with this piss pit of a game.
It's easy to get out of bronze silver, if you literally stick to playing only 2 or 3 champs

1. Play only few champs.
It's time to admit you aren't gonna be the next faker so don't act like you can play any champ.
2. Pick a role!
"I can play any role" is what hardstucks say. Pick one role and stick with it.
3. Don't play ADC.
Problem with playing ADC in low elo is - support. You get a bronze support and he can just solo lose you the lane.
That is enough to get you to gold. If you wanna climb highter then this then you gonna need to start looking at mini map and warding

A couple of months ago, I played an ARAM and got absolutely destroyed. Told myself "if the next one is just as bad, I'll stop playing". I made two Pentas in the next one and we curbstomped them. Haven't played a single game since and have absolutely no interest in doing so. Played daily for more than 8 years and on that day it just ended. And I don't miss a second.
I still keep up with everything league and even play TFT, but nothing urges me to play League itself anymore. I'm free

it can be done, i uninstalled 2 weeks before the vanguard update and havent came back. i submitted tickets to riot for 4 different de-rank bots that all played to iron 4 0 lp and not a single one was punished. just got a generic response from their support team.
For anyone wondering how the timer for the Penta works, you have a minimum of 10 seconds since the quadra, like any other multi kill, but it gets extended if no other enemy has respawned yet. Maximum 30 seconds, though.

@@deadspace4755 Yep. I didn't know about the 30 seconds hard limit, but I knew that it got extended until someone else respawns. (I was checking because I also didn't remember the exact time limit between multi-kills)

I just recently went to uninstall RIOT as a whole and move it to another drive... That whole process ALONE made me not want to re-download it, was way overcomplicated especially when you include RIOT's "amazing" log-in system.

I was one of the lucky ones who realized early on that i don't have the skill to be good, nor the mental fortitude to put up with the abuse this game and its players will constantly throw at you.

i quit the game in season 10 and never rly came back other than a handful of games and trust me it was worth it finally quitting this toxic game after unhealthy amount of hours spent

If you are actually in Silver the biggest thing to learn about league is that every game is 1v9. You want help? Get your supers spawning, sure they just march down lane and feed but they give less gold and draw attention to places on the map where you aren't allowing you to powerplay that shit all the way up to a 1v8 or even a 1v7.
if your a silver player you are probable not able to 1v9 consistently. I guess a much better tip is to play consistent and dont throw the gifted games. learn the basics before making your goal to carry every game just by yourself
@@KeuleFeee Nah, neither of you are right. The MMR system is actually broken. If you want out of silver you have to buy a new account or _downgrade_ and stomp so hard the MMR system reverts and thinks you deserve a higher rank, then you get LP.
If you're trying to do it the "right way" you're going to get dinged with -30s when you go up a rank.
And before you argue, yes, even the highest players admit the MMR system is broken. All of League is a buggy mess.
@@KeuleFeee Of course they can't 1v9 consistently, that's why every silver game is a coin flip no matter how the lane phase goes. The fact they don't know how to press an advantage is why they don't turn games like these into wins. Particularly at lower ranks just behave like a super minion yourself.
Park your ass in a side lane and drive to the inhib, once you get it move into the other side lane and drive for the inhib. The only acceptable reasons you're going to leave this lane is because you're stealing a jungle camp between waves, you're getting ganked or you need to go back and buy. Once you get them both pick a side lane and drive for the nexus while your brain dead teammates push mid (at least they will draw the enemy there) and with all the free farming you've probably been doing you should decimate whatever comes to stop you. When your teammates fight in the jungle over a camp that doesn't exist (see the video again) take a turret, maybe two.
Seriously, just mute your teammates at the start of every game and do this, you will win like 65% if you learn to watch your map and know to avoid the gank BEFORE it arrives. When three people are coming to stop you taking their inhib turret you are going to back off to the inner turret. Let your teammate who comes for that 3v2 die and scream at the wall you put up in the first 10 seconds. Feel no more pity for them then you do for the minions you use to block turret shots. They are useless.
@@ClockworkGearhead I've never seen a higher rank player argue that u cant climb from silver (or any elo) because of the mmr system. I see only hardstuck people argue like that probably with 49% winrate on 100+ games that think they deserve a good mmr just because they won a few games in a row. Then they buy new accounts just to get stuck a elo above while slowley deranking and ruining games until they buy a new account again.
The MMR System is broken because it places these people way above where they belong on a new account.
Silvers thinking they will 1v9 games and thinking they are hardstuck cause of their bad luck with teammates is always hilarious 🤣 Faker is actually a silver player just lucky with team mates 🤓

I havent played since the game left beta, the playerbase changed far too much in the transition, went from constructive chat to kys every two seconds almost instantly completely killed any care i had to play, went from a chill game between classes to not worth the time
Hey Rav! Try practicing the attack move for kiting. As a kindred main it transformed my kite game. Using the A key instead of the automatic attack system gives you quite a bit more agency since you can anticipate when the better players will drop a ward at your feet to counter the strategy.

I understand the pain... My last game was just last month. I had a few after that one but it was my last one to be a League League game, like, after that it wasn't really League. It was but this one was the last, the other ones after didn't count.

The moment the idea that league is an addiction becomes widespread, that's when most people will finally be able to quit it.
Not just league but arguably all games apart from single campaign ones.
I hit plat last year and called it quits after trying to climb out of gold again this year. Every game is a coin flip, you cant carry games anymore when your team consistently trys to 1v5, not playing safe and running it down after 1 death. It's not worth it anymore
I played back from season 3 - 5, I was clean for 7 years, had a couple of work buddies beg me to play. So I redownloaded the game, decided I would play 1 normal game. I had a Gragas + Lux duo queuing bot. They started getting stomped, so they immediately started putting wards into the enemy base, then TPing to them every time they respawned. Sent the report in to Riot, got a super generic answer back, my work friends hopped on and I just told them no. Uninstalled and never looked back lol.

as someone who's been playing this game for over a decade... see ya on the rift tomorrow, rav. i'll even save your seat at lunch... some of us never quit... but we do go play other games. personally, i love metroidvanias and rogue-lites. i especially love item randomizers for metroidvanias that make me do all kinds of weird movement tech to progress through the map. throw in Zelda games with that too, since they have a metroidvania style of progression and are extremely fun to randomize. and sometimes, you get a brutal seed filled with so much pain and anguish where you have to do insane things to get next to nothing as a reward (cuz random) and it gives you those same masochism vibes that we get from league, so it still feels like home.
I finished last season in Emerald... after being placed in Silver when the new season started, I've stopped playing summoners rift entirely. Haven't queued a game since.
I mean, the MMR should be reset every season, everyone should have to work their way up from the bottom every time. No other pvp game with any sort of respectable playerbase works in the same way, not even Riots OTHER games. You should not finish a season a high rank then get placed a high rank in the next season, that's some lazy ass thinking. You should get to what rank you earn, that's what you deserve.

Ill never forget when i was on my promos final game in 2022. Amumu and zed had a fight. Amumu ran it down to make zed lose. I was powerless and could only watch as i lost my 5th game with 2 wins under the belt in that promo series. 😢

League isn't a story telling game, its a desert of rage, impotence and egos clashing for no reason, just give it up and be happy.
I left LoL in May. After the Vanguard debacle and the high-priced gacha Jhin, Lee, and Ahri skins, I'm surprised anyone still plays. Banning Ahri won't fix Rito, but not playing will send them a clear message.
