One night while driving back to Florida I stopped at the gas station and bought this song. I walked out of the gas station. Then my phone rang my sister told me that mom had passed away. My entire world stood still. I know in my heart she was saved was with Jesus.

This was a daily staple when in grade school. It was totally fantastic the way they tell the whole story.I am 70 now. Nice touch with the Kaleidoscope. I haven't seen one in years. Acid was a perfect companion as I remember.
Me and my biker husband listened to this the night he died in my arms he was 56 our youngest was 8 the last words he said was sophie and youngest daughter never will i heal from this he died in 2012 my heart will always be broken i had to carry on for my four kids 😢😢😢

Way back in the 70's you listened to this when it was played on an FM station, preferably in your friends' basement/pool hall. or if you had a hi-fi - phonograph and could afford the album. I don't know if it was released as a single, although I'm sure it was. Later was 8 track and a cassette, today, you just type it and boom there it is! Technology, we love thee! Zeppelin, we will always love thee also.
That FM station was on a "transistor radio" that your dad handed down to you.

As a teen back in the 70s I was in 7th grade and me and a couple of friends used to play around trying to be a band. Had a lot of fun but never went anywhere. Mainly because I couldn't read sheet music. But I could listen to a song a few times and could play it fairly well. This song is probably the only one I masterd Mainly because one day I was feeling kinda down on my self and must have listened to this song over and over maybe a 1000 times. Then the next day picked up my guitar and just shredded this song..but after a time life seemed to get in the way of everything so I just dropped the guitar and picked up tools and taught myself how to be auto technician and that's what my life has become. I'm now a retired master auto tech and have alot of time on my hands to sit and remember the time I had growing up. Made me wish that I would have kept playing music like my friends wanted me to do. I wonder what my life would be like today. I miss all my old friends, some have passed on, some have moved away and I never get to see them anymore. Man, to go back...
