Pretty good video regarding everyone's favorite panda. Some things I want to add about some of Neera's moves: - If you use an aerial spear drive while approaching a slope, then jump off the slope, you can a height boost that can allow you to reach areas Neera wouldn't be able to reach with a double jump + tundra ray. - Baton drive can be used to juggle, but that juggle mechanic can be exploited to allow Neera to gain additional vertical height which is very useful in speedruns. You do this by having vertical speed (i.e. via a jump, spring to name a few) and using the baton drive as you close in on an enemy above you. - Hammer drive can be used as a way to gain a little falling speed. Niche, but is useful in speedrunning. - You did the spike trap some poor justice lmao. The spikes can deal a load of damage if you use the starting portion of the move while close to an enemy's hitbox. Spike trap, when used in this manner, is best used against bosses with big hit boxes such as Gnawsa (big emphasis on Gnawsa as his quick kill requires them), Monster Cube, Trigger Joy, and Bakunawa Fusion just to name some, but it can also work against smaller bosses like Merga. All that matters is you make all 4 spikes pummel the boss. - I guess you didn't know this about ice lasso, but it can combo into a spear drive by pressing attack after yeeting it. The lasso + the spear drive can do a pretty good amount of damage. You also forgot to mention that ice lasso is essentially a death sentence for almost all enemies as once they're frozen, they die in one hit (except those car enemies from the goofy ahh battlesphere. They require 2) - Tundra ray will always kill your momentum when you use it, so it's only good for offense and gaining vertical height. You can also fly with it using the infinite tundra ray glitch where as you fall into a void, you use tundra ray. To my knowledge, it works best on Sky Bridge and Airship Sigwada. I think you can also use the glitch when hitting a downwards spring and then tundra raying, but I've never done it. I've only seen Revolucion (a Neera speedrunner) perform it. In terms of speedrunning, infinite tundra ray is only useful in Airship Sigwada. - Just a little something about focused spear driving - while it does make you reach fast speed faster, that only happens when you are already moving. If you try to use it while say standing still, you actually take longer to speed up because of how quickly focused spear drives come out. - I actually disagree about Neera's hitboxes. Her hitboxes, especially the hammer drive, are pretty big and good. With Neera, it's more about positioning. - I will say losing all your speed as Neera is super annoying when speedrunning as that alone can easily cost you 2-3 seconds from having to build back up your speed vs the other 3 goobers: Lilac can dragon boost, Carol has the body slam, and Milla uses science. - I will admit at 14:22, I was kind of thinking like that when I wanted to start speedrunning Neera, but then I learned she's easy as hell to play maybe. Maybe because she plays like a smash bros character, and I played the hell out of that, and it's a sonic game, and I played the hell out of those. - 14:30 Fun fact: That's actually not faster than just playing the level normally. Well, maybe it is by a little bit, but it's not something you'll be saving noticeable time with unless you want to beat a WR by 0.0000001 seconds. I'm glad I didn't have to do that because that skip SUCKS. - Optimally, in an any% run, you would primarily just want full jump potions since Neera is already cracked in the damage department but needs drugs to handle her *unique* gravity. For boss levels you can bring those attack potions just because you can't go wrong with a little more damage. But yeah, I'm done being a Neera geek (still in my Neera phase after over 3 months lmao) and I think I've said all I've wanted to.

(about Neera's low player count compared to the FP1 cast): As someone who's gotten every achievement, I'd say the answer is quite simple: Neera is the new girl among an established cast. This means that she won't have as many first-time players compared to FP1's trio. Then there's the fact that she's the most difficult, with trickier movement tech, and her attacks demanding higher precision. And finally- not every player is as obsessed with FP2 as I am, and many players would be satisfied with just one playthrough of the game (which would most likely be Lilac).
