i met warrior at a signing years ago, while all the other wrestlers where sat down looking like that they hated meeting the fans warrior was standing up shaking everyone's hand and asking there name, i really appreciated that

After meeting all the big names. Flair (grumpy), Taker in 94 (quiet but cool), Hulk (fast but chilled, bigger than I expected). HBK 94 (fun), Bret (cool guy), Anvil (wasted RIP), Piper (took time and lots of fun), Dibiase (quiet), Duggan (fun). I’ve met tons of the guys.
Warrior was the best, he took more time than anyone, signed more than I’d paid for and took extra photos. Just a true gentleman.

The Ultimate Warrior was probably the greatest character ever in professional wrestling, which is meant as a sincere compliment. It's one of the few wrestling characters that you could literally see in a comic book or in an animated cartoon with the look, the voice, the physique, the acting and signature moves and overall performance. He really developed that character into an art in a way. There could be a few others in that class, but not many. It was quite an achievement from an art/entertainment/fantasy sense. Captivated a generation.

As a person who became disabled as an adult, I wrote Warrior an e-mail years back about the blog post he'd written that day & how much it inspired me to keep going in my pursuit to get better. To my surprise, the man wrote me back and told me that I was his inspiration on that day. I'll never forget that kindness. He truly was a class act.
Man, I wish I could have. I still think of him in my moments of giving up! He has definitely inspired my life!

The Warrior is Eternal. Everything about him was awesome.
The ultimate warrior will never die he lives on in US those who were lucky enough to watch his reign of power... When he did his promos and he wrestled he was magic and he instilled respect in us and we didn't even realize it... For the lucky few who paid attention he was like our big brother.
Macho Man's death really changed Warrior. That seems to be a driving force behind his sudden website and youtube stuff in 2012-13. He realized that if wants to leave a legacy, he needs to get out there. A few blogs on an old webpage won't do anything. Autograph signings, and open-ness to the WWE are the only things that can establish that. I'm glad he did it for his family and fans.
I agree, it did seem like Savage's passing had a huge impact on him. As a long time fan there was tremendous healing when he came back for the Hall of Fame, even if it was quickly followed by tragedy. Even still, his career came full circle and his legacy became immortalized. The running the man did, will live forever...

I didn't pay attention around that time, but he had a website for a long time. I remember reading it before his WCW run even.
Our heroes are our heroes and they're human beings as well. This guy, here, was just a decent guy who preformed to make a living. Made a lot of us smile along the way. God love you. Rest in peace.
When you see your hero die, it really hits you hard. He’s like a family member. He seems like a real cool dude. I appreciate that.

GhostSpectre, You're crazy his Wrestlemania 6 match was PURE GOLD. His WCW run wasnt good but his WWF run was SPECTACULAR.
WMVI was "pure gold" because Hogan carried his ass through the match. Guys like Rick Rude worked their butts off to make the matches watchable. There's no question he was an influence on young fans and was a definitive character of the early 90s, but he was all entrance and little else.
I know many people didn't care for the Ultimate Warrior, but I loved him when I was a kid. His performances in the ring always kept me glued to the tv, not to mention just the way he entered the ring, running 100 mph and being crazy. That was when wrestling was golden in my opinion. I don't care what anyone says, I will always be an Ultimate Warrior fan, may he always be resting in peace.
I loved all those wrestlers back then, but no one was like the Ultimate Warrior lol, he was my favorite along with Macho Man and the Road Warriors. Those 4 guys right there we'll never see anything like them again
He was my Ultimate favorite wrestler, number 1. I had a book that was about him and his life. There will never be another wrestler like him. RIP to the Greatest man.

I never realized he could sound so rational. So aware. He actually got it. It's very sad that he doesn't get to grow old and tell these stories and enjoy life. Thanks for getting this. I remember the night he beat Hogan for the title. That was one of the most exciting moments in wrestling history. He really affected the kids with his presence. That crowd was electric.

Though Warrior may have been out there at times, we do not know what Elohim God may have done through him. Let's just appreciate the Warrior for his prowess and not judge based on what we see. I've always been a Hulkster fan and hated the Warrior when he outmatched my hero in WW6 but there is no denying that the Warrior was one of the most awsome wrestlers and one of the greatest icons of professional wrestling of all time ; may he rest in peace .
I always like Helwig's "Ultimate Warrior" persona. He really lived up to it with the intensity that he brought to the ring each and every match he was in because in each and every match that he was in he brought his ultimate performance. This is why he was so enjoyable to watch. It's hard to believe that it's already been over four years since he passed away. May he rest in peace.
Warrior is an inspiration for us all. Wish he was still around. Could have been one Hell of a motivational speaker.

This man was my childhood - still to this day I remember all the great memories of him. He is the reason I still have a mullet in my 40s. I copied everything about him. You could see how genuinely kind and good of a person he was. You could see that mostly in his reactions to his girls - Rest in paradise Jim
I loved the ultimate warrior when I was a kid. I guess a lot of the other wrestlers in the locker room hated him. I think they were totally jealous of his dominance for success. He was a force to be reckoned with that many couldn’t compete with. His act was great, from the running all over the place to the way he would talk on the mic. He had an attitude made for success. #LEGEND

Duster71, No, he just knew his worth. His persona was the best in the business and thats fact. So there was he knew his worth AND like he said he didnt wanna wrestle forever, it was just a chapter in his life. Wrestlers didnt like that. To them it was life, to him it was a job.
No, he refused to work with other wrestlers in the ring and he was a low-down unprofessional dirty dealer when it came to contracts. The bullshit he pulled with his boss paid off some in the short-term, but came back to bite him in the ass and balls in the long-term. Besides, he was all look and not much skill. Sort of like Hogan, but Hogan was great with a microphone. The only thing this guy was great at was a syringe.
+ Tonto Epstein. Thats not true. There are several instances, one involving Ted Dibiase where he was mad at Warrior for something happening in Tokyo yet it was Vinces call not Warriors. This guy was pushed to be the next Hulk Hogan so hell yes he wanted the same pay. Hogan just failed in Hollywood and had to come back. Warrior didnt wanna step down and understandably so. Would you? As I said alot of wrestlers did what was best for the business and Warrior did the best for himself. Thats not low-down and dirty thats smart because WWF screwed ALOT of guys. Look at Bret Hart. Warrior did his thing until it started to not benefit him as much, then he left. You gotta look past the nonsense and see what really happened. Everyone dogged Warrior but after he died ALOT of truth came out and basically he refused to be screwed.
Dress it up any way you want, extorting money minutes before a big PPV event is unprofessional, lowdown, and dirty. And often not working with the other wrestlers was simply unprofessional.

You are absolutely right. Aside from the intense work out and steroids, he kept his life spiritually-like clean.
He was the new guy in the 80s who got the VIP treatment because of how he sold arenas in his mere presence. Hogan and the rest just ganged up on him in terms of locker room politics. Those saying he was a bad worker forgets about the likes of Batista and Goldberg who probably were worse.

Warrior's ring entrance was full of a lot of energy, and he was a much better worker then he was given credit for. Most of his matches were short, but they were all quality.
Ultimate warrior always made my school holidays amasing. Sitting up till late just to watch him was fabulous

I couldn't really give a f*cking shit about what the wrestling 'critics' have to say about Warrior.
The man was an incredible human being.
Sure, we can all read anecdotes on his wrestling career from bitter people like Bret Hart about how 'one time when Warrior was a young wrestling superstar, he prioritised his character over a 'Make a Wish' child' etc.
But the fact remains that Warrior grew to be an amazing man; leagues and leagues above the average 'former wrestler', who usually end up as an addict or a pathetic vessel for nothing more than immaturity or self-pity.
If we all had Warrior's commitment and passion, then the world would be a much, much better place.
RIP Warrior. You inspire me every day. Legend.
