- The Ginani Festival ; Harvest Festival was celebrated in the former mountian kingdoms of northern Pakistan , known as Hunza, Nagar and Yasin every year on 21st June. Its ancient roots are found in the ancient Persia, where upon coronatation the king was served with the grains of barley and butter milk on his coronation ceremony (Ref. Koroosh e Azam , A trnslated book in Urdu language). This festival has come to an end after the abolishment of Hunza State in September 1974. And after the restoration of more than 800 years old Baltit Fort in Hunza by The Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) Geneva, at last this festival is celebrated in June 1998 at the Baltit Fort. This was grace by Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan II , Wazir Mujahidullah Baig and noteables of Hunza.
