OMG she is so much easier to use.... no stances... not even the stance of her starting moves with her sword in snake mode... not even that!!!! terrible.
Strangely for me, Ivy has always been my favorite character in the Soul games, but I've never gotten very good with her, haha. I do see the major potential she has if you can master her complicated move set. If I had trouble getting past a certain part in the game, I could always fall back to Kilik or Misturugi. :D
I mean hell in sc2 she swing her sword around, in sc3 it atleast change some. sc4 it had 3 diffrent states... we get to 5 and its just a sword, and only what tow new move, the little sword and arrow thing and the super move.
I mostly just watched the attack animations on this one, LOL! I will pay more attention to the actual movelist once I start playing SC5 in greater length.

How are we expected to do the input for Calamity Symphony while standing? I'm sure it's possible, yeah... I probably just need to practice. But, is there some trick to using it?
u can summon suffering mor faster... but the down side is u haft to push a+g then A+B+K at the same time its easy and fater yes but not at the expense of losing sight of what made Ivy in the first place...
this ivy is ok... but I think she is way to easy to use. and if Ivy diffiuculty level has to be turn down so everybody can use her then.... well then maybe ur not a tru ivy user. cus one they did not haft to make Calamity Symphony and soummon suffering so easy to do. if ur a tru ivy user u know how hard it is to do both those move!! not only that but her sword just sits in one place,
I'm sorry for answering 4 years later but there are three things I feel the need to say: 1 - You are completely right, they made CS imput harder in this game. 2 - I AM an insult to Ivy mains, since I was wrong with my statement, this is not the first time you can start CS imput during another attack. 3 - My mind has changed and nowadays I like characters being easier to use.
5:28 For some reason while doing her 'Crucifixion' move she speaks in her japanese voice. It may be an error

I was worried when I heard they got rid of her stances but it looks like all of her fun moves are still in, if anything she's simpler to use now!

I've gotten really good with her. The trick is not to rush in.
Many of Ivy's moves from previous games has been removed in SCV. But thankfully, those moves returned in SCVI with some new moves.

Im a tekken player but im thinking.of getting into soul calibur. And ivy is the hardest character I've heard any tips.for a beginner.
I think alpha patroklos is the hardest out there.
bayonetta ivy is pimpin'!! kinda missed the 3 stances, but at least they made it easier for ivy users to chain moves...

@FitraNagara nah ive managed to find combos with her which can take the opponent down to quarter health w/o them being able to do anything about it.

They actually made Calamity Symphony harder to do because Ivy's were abusing it. Summon Suffering is really easy though.

Which makes it more fluid, not easier to input.
