This is an excellent tutorial it explains the basics very well then more and more complexity is added to provide enough detail but without oversimplifying things
That is hands down the best explanation that I have ever seen!
Such extreme precision along with amazing design. Mega respect, from me, for the scientists and manufacturers involved.
This is the best explanation of LIGO I have ever seen. Period! Thank you very much!
Fantastic explanation. Id always thought it was just 2 perpendicular beams to measure distances using the time travelled muktiplied hy the soeed of light, never really considering the external influences that would cause false readings. Impressive to say the least
Very well explained, thanks
This is so good
Great video!
Thank you!
Dank u wel!
nice explanation
🤯🤯
Achei interessante isso. Alguém poderia explicar isso na prática?
The LIGO in the US is the practical application. The gravity waves produces tiny vibrations. These tiny vibrations cause the length of the fabry perot arms to change causing a signal to be detected by the optical sensor
This Portal level is complicated af
Gravitational waves can easily pass through the mirrors.Gravitational waves are not similar to electromagnetic waves, that can not pass through metals etc.
Looks expensive
0:17 but DNA is detectable 0:52
