Great video. Enjoyed the background music as much as I enjoyed watching the snails speeding around. My first thought when the snails were coming to eat their favorite food was, "stampede". Thank you for the video. Cannot wait for another Rex update. I would love to see updates on all the critters and creatures you have. Whenever you're up to it. No pressure. I shall wait patiently. 👍🏻😂

I bought some live garden snails for my Bosc monitor last year but as I was feeding them to him, the last two popped out of their shells and started waving their antennas around and that was it, I couldn’t feed them off after that. I fell in love with their cute little faces 😍 So I bought a nice glass enclosure and set them up as pets…..bad idea! 😂 About a year later I must have had hundreds of 🐌 😂 and again, I couldn’t bring myself to kill them and feed them to my Bosc as I’d spent so much time looking after them and making sure they were happy and were living their best lives. I even started naming the more unique looking ones 😂 In the end I ended up giving them to my local reptile shop. I’m based in Somerset and if I’d known you were looking for snails I would have happily posted them to you, I had snails coming out of my ears 😂 Don’t worry, once they do start laying eggs, you’ll have millions of babies very soon 🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌 😂
My Bosc still gets live snails, but my husband has to buy them and feed him, I still can’t do it 😂

My husband has a phobia of snails, slugs, worms, leeches, etc. so getting a skink is out of the question for us. I will just admire from afar.

20-25°C around 80-90% humidity, so really really high. Day and night cycle can be important, but in a reptile room you'll likely have that already. Some lime for the garden might be easier and cheaper to get than the cuttlefish bone. Ground up egg shells will also work just fine. Never feed any cabbage or citrus, but you can basically give them literally anything else, even leaves, decaying wood and all that forest type stuff isopods feed on. Protein will likely improve breeding. You can use most commercial dog and cat foods, fish food, chicken feed etc. they'll eat carrion in the wild, so they're not that picky. Just make sure the food doesn't contain salt, copper sulfate, malachite etc. for obvious reasons.
Not sure which kind of land snails you got there, just be aware that some species will lay up to 150 eggs per snail. As you probably know, they're hermaphrodites and every individual will lay eggs. If you have too many eggs at some point, freezing them is a good option to prevent hatching.

Plastic containers are best as if the snail falls on the plastic is slightly less dangerous then glass!
You need to figure out the exact specie you have! To give the exact care as they all need slightly different!
I would have a guess they are a fulica species maybe jade!
They will need deep soil and a very large tank of 10gal 48l per snail minimum recommended!
Feed a protein of your choice once a
week for the health of them! Feed lettuce and some dark leafy greens to them daily!
    Good ventilation is required
Calcium in a cuttle bone is required too replacing is once 3 months is necessary!
No lighting required but uvb 2.0 has been looked into to see if it benefits them! No evidence atm!
Heat is required and the different species need different temp!
Some can have room temp others need a 30c tank and heat provided with a mat and thermostat!
Breeding themes easy heat is the main component the correct temp get them breeding!
    Hope this help

Hey it’s been a long time since I’ve visited your channel, goodness I feel old now haha. But about 6 years ago I found your channel and fell in love with the leopard geckos! I went out and bought two and they were so much fun! I followed all your videos and how to care for them. When I’d put my hand in their terrarium they’d run up my arm and sit on my shoulders and I’d go about my house chores or watch tv and they would just sit on my shoulders and crawl around my arms! Sadly after about a year one of them appeared really sick and I tried everything I could to keep her alive but she passed away.. 6 months later the other passed too. It was pretty sad they were my buddies. I was a mechanic and people thought it was really weird that I had pet geckos, cause they figured I’d own a big dog or something but I couldn’t help but think the geckos were cute. Even my girlfriend thought they were scary lol! But I’m glad that I had the experience! They’re awesome, so thank you for your channel!

@@leopardgeckotalk they did when I bought them at petco, and for about a month after that before I realized how territorial they were. They had separate tanks for the majority of their lives there after, so I don’t know what happened, I fed them worms and small crickets and never too many. Changed their water regularly and cleaned their tanks at regular intervals. I had no clue how old they were, or their health prior to buying them. They were rather large though already. I researched them pretty heavily before buying as I didn’t want to neglect them. Washed my hands and arms before handling them so no chemicals/oils from the mechanic shop would touch them.
I’m not sure what happened, and maybe one day I’ll get another one, they’re a lot of fun!

Looking on the Etsy shop, the mineral blocks seem to he mainly calcium. Since the snails are already getting calcium from the cuttlebone I assume that they don't need to eat any of the block

I keep GALS and they're awesome. I personally can't feed off my snails personally despite having a BTS
Edit: lissatica Fulica do really well at room temperature and will lay eggs in large clutches at the bottom. I personally use a faunarium but plastic tubs with air holes/vents works well too so you can LIFT it above your head and look for clutches and remove them before they hatch and pop them in a cricket tub to hatch in there. I reccomend a shallow water dish - ceramic cat water dishes work very well for them so they can't drown themselves or tip it from crawling underneath. I keep lots of snails 🐌 they're fantastic pets - what flavours went down the best with yours I'd love to give one of these a go & have for when I'm out of fresh salad!

@CryptidLarklin yes, if your snail is over a certain size, for smaller snails, it's fine as they're so small. And it binds calcium btw ✌️

hi, I bought a African fat tailed gecko when I was 13 three years ago and he was very malnourished when we got him. I didn’t know much about reptiles, but I knew his basic care. He’s perfectly healthy and full. But I noticed he would never eat out of his bowl, so I began to get scared of him dying of hunger. So I ended up, popping the heads off of his worms and feeding him that way by hand , I am now 16 and I am still hand feeding him because every time I’ve tried to get him to eat out of his bowl he refuses. My dad doesn’t want to take him to the vet so I have no idea what to do I was wondering if you or anyone may know how to fix this problem. Thank you so much.

    • @nadyalie8689

What are you feeding them? Most of mine only like crickets. I always put them (every 2/3 days) in a small container and throw some crickets and leave them. One of my AFT only eats if i cover the top of the container with cardboard (shy eater). Mine never touch their food bowl as well.
Check for humidity and temperature as well! Best of luck
