Saying Mr Nutz on snes is better for visuals alo e is a complete injustice... the megadrive controls, hit detection and music/sound fx are so much better. I bought this game when it came out. I was even pretty hyped by it by reading a preview in a French SNES magazine. Thank you for reminding me that Pang/Buster Bros. was a helluva game!
Personally, I would love to see a commentary on the Oddworld series. That would be brilliant. It's such an engrossing world which your forensic detail would be perfect for.
I would die for a complete history of mushihimesama Or DondonpachiOr cave games in generalLove your work !!
I liked the game as a kid a lot. I think the game is very straight forward and simple and some times that's all you want.
I always thought this guy turned into conkers of conkers bad fur day fame!
That's probably 'cause Conker was originally going to be a 'traditional' cute game character before going down a more... adult route, instead.
That's where I thought the video was going too
he did...rare has spoke on it
MR. NUTZ IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Strange I used to play this on my Amiga
Oh, looking for some ideas for the future? I have a game title that has some interesting history behind it; Alisia Dragoon for the Megadrive.
Seeing this video reminded me of a game I missed out on at the time of release, Bubble'n Squeak. Any chance of a video on that?
Great video! I never knew about this game but it looks like a very decent 16bits platformer. It's good to know the developers put so much effort into it too.
Will you ever talk about the Gradius franchise? I'm a big fan of it and I'm aware that it's a well known franchise, but very few people have bothered to actually take a deep look at it.
+Adrian Fahrenheit i no doubt will talk about gradius soon enough mate :) it actually gets requested a lot
You might not want to use a red border for your thumbnails anymore. RUclips puts a red bar at the bottom of videos you've already watched, I skimmed right past this thinking it was a video I'd already seen since it looks like it has a red bar at the bottom.
One of the levels in Mr Nutz is called "woody land". Take form that what you will.
What about doing the Railroad Tychoon franchise? There is a LOT of things to said :) ...and its my favourite franchise ;)
Great video! I'm dying to see a complete history on Flashback! It's one of my all time favorite!
Is there any chance of doing videos base on Ms-DOS games? Or you never played on PC? I'm asking because alongside the Mega Drive it was one of the most magical gaming periods for me with franchises like the Alone in the Dark, Hexen and of course Doom.
I'm a simple french man. I see an english talking video about a french game, I put a like on it.
Your profile pic is another fantastic French game, one of my favorite games of all time even
@@auralunaprettycure Thank you bro, Abother World is pure gold. The intro scene remains impressive today in its direction.
Flashback also is in my TOP.
How about a story on the publisher Renovation and their classic Sega Genesis titles?
Phantasystar77 Renovation is interesting, all of their assets were transffered over to Sunsoft.
Yeah they've always been an interest to me. they were one of the most visible publishers in the early-mid days of the Genesis. I'm not sure what their story was in other parts of the world, but in the US it was quite interesting indeed. They also had some rather interesting advertisements in magazines as well.
Nice, you stated in your video that it was originally made on the amiga but was never released do you know if the amiga source code is still around as a clever programmer could look at it and maybe release it so we could see how good it looked on the said home computer, i would love that.
Awesome video, Daniel! I know I've said this before, but these are always some of my favorite Complete History videos. A series I've never even heard of, and it turns out to be pretty good. I've always had a soft spot for mascot platformers, so I'm really glad Mr. Nutz will forever hold a spot in my brain, thanks to you.
+Strain42 you are more than welcome :) glad you enjoyed it my man :)
Slope's Game room why the picture it looks like Scrat the squirrel from ice age
Actually this game is is kind of a Cult Classic in the Blind / Mystery Game community , where we try to speed run games without having played them before , It's known for being kinda bad but has some , okay 1, person championing it.
If they do the HD Remix of this game w/hand-drawn art then I'd be all over this!
I've always passed over this title; now I'm gonna give it a go on my Raspberry Pi! Thanks for the heads up.
Amazing!!! Thank you for the video.
Have you ever tried Re-Volt? That's a pretty damn good gem.
11:18 who's video did you use? Who is that in the screen flip?
i always hide channels that i like in my videos :)
Daniel Ibbertson it's cool. I was just like who's that? That's not DJ Slopes! What kind of trickery is this?
Less wrinkly than I expected but great video.
It's funny you mentioned Zool because I was just thinking of suggesting it to you while watching this video. Also, Klonoa is a good platform franchise. I would love to see you cover that.
+Ashmanhead i will defo do klonoa one day. However if uou check my 1st ever vid you will see i already did zool (sorta)
Zool is a classic that should be covered.
