looks like you had a lot of fun building your first rig :). I remember building my first rig back in the lates 90s with the help of my dad, cpus used to be cartridges back then lol
if it's your 1st time, follow tutorials for ALL the components, check the orientation of the main power cable to the motherboard, check if you connected the small front cables (power, reset, speaker, etc.) correctly
You chose good parts. ASUS has always made reliable components. Just remember to take your time and read your manuals. I've been building PC's for many years and you get better with every build. You'll do fine, just trust in yourself.
Kid congrats on the pc but never put pressure on the cpu otherwise you’ll bent the pins on the motherboard socket! Ram must be allocated in A2 and B2 slots and the power supply since it’s fully modular before placing into the case be sure connect all the slots you are going to use like the 24 pin and the pcie 8 pins connector most of the cables that came with psu otherwise you’ll run into trouble connecting all cables while the psu is screwed into the case and the ssd slots rack are in the way. Happy Gaming and welcome the PC community!!
@@TokenTechyt cool man just for future reference be careful otherwise you’ll see your money down the drain after messing up a pc component. Happy gaming man enjoy that’s one beastly pc you have!
Such boards are now far too expensive, but I wouldn't buy a mainboard without a power/reset/debug LED - put it on the table, install components + test whether everything works before installing it in the case.
When first taking the motherboard out of the box make sure to put it on a surface or the box so it lessens damaging the pins on the back and lessens chances of static electricity which can damage the motherboard
When assembling your m/b place it on the empty box as this lessens the chance of damaging the bottom of the board and makes it less likely to move around.
Nice build and good components, but I will give you small advice, if you using only two RAM slots, put them in grey sockets, its the main ones. Its because if you put tower cooler on your CPU it has more place. Its also reason why maybe your PC didnt boot.
I built my first rig in the early 1990s, had a lot of fun doing it just like you did I too had some successes and failures in that first build as well, good job and good choices of parts I hope you enjoy your rig

I know you weren't talking to me, but this is very helpful advice as I can't wait to get my own PC one day. I know I'll do good when building my own as I've spent the last few days doing research, but my only fear is that the amount of cables is very overwhelming to me.
@@Mel-fk8vylol i was worried about the cables but as long as you follow your manual and learn from professionals building pcs you should be absolutely fine. i’m on my second pc build

I just did my first gaming PC too not had a PC for years and never a gaming PC. Was using 3050 Ti gaming laptop and Series S but decided to go all in on PC. Went with Ryzen 5600 and RX 6750XT. You're lucky having microcenter over there and generally lower prices too! Enjoy your PC man.
@@DivineAttr well that's rude, no it doesn't it looks better than trying to scoop it out of your face every 5 seconds. Its not to look good it's for comfort when doing things like building a computer working on a car doing ANYTHING with anything that spins, it's like putting on a welding mask to weld, it's to protect and make your life easier🙂
Never got into the liquid cooler thing. I still prefer properly-planned air-cooled/fan builds, but I build my PC's to run strong at stock setting w/no added overclocking & choose parts according to keep things energy-efficient & as innately cool running as possible - such as the "hidden gem" Ryzen 9 7900 12C/24T CPU (a 65W powerhouse) & the ASUS TUF version of the 7800 XT GPU, which runs cooler & more quiet than other 7800 XT's tested under loads in comparison.
It's no wonder it didn't boot up. The first thing you should have done was READ THE MANUAL and understand how to install memory, the cpu, the onboard hard drive and all of the cables. You didn't once practice being static free, especially when installing the CPU, because static from your hands can instantly ruin a CPU. Understand how to install it and be sure you have it in correctly. Install the power supply last, for many reasons. The main one is the power can and will kill you the motherboard has built up power in capacitors and you could touch the inside for it to zap you. If it were easy they'd have EVERY monkey putting together a computer. You probably spent $300 - $400 on the CPU and you can ruin it before you put it in, if you're not careful. Pull your hair back and tie it, nothin like some good staticky hair. Bottom line, READ THE MANUAL!
i didn't realize that 12900k now has same boxes as lower ranges like i7 as well as 1x900kf ones, but intel did not change 13900k boxes despite being released in late 2022, and now we have 14th gen though 14th is just basically 13th gen refreshed 🤔 i think 12th gen will be discontinued soon so intel made a final change for 12th gen cpu boxes, like they did on 11900k. i wonder if intel still sells 12900ks maybe with the same package design as the one you bought, btw really nice gaming PC building video 🥰
Just built mine. Same aio as you as well. I have a Levens 2 TB m.2, 32GB of ddr5 ram, a gigabyte A620m gaming x motherboard, a Ryzen 5 7600x and a Radeon RX7800xt
No contact plate for the cpu it helps with heat and the cpu bending over time i also have a i9 it's the i9 12900KS i use the contact plate it only ads about 10.00 dollars to the cost and will help prevent a lot of problems from happening.
know if to=you ever fixed it but your NVME ssd is totally wrong. You have it tucked under the standoff to hold it in. Removed the ssd. Look in the motherboard box and you will find very small screws. Those screws go on top of the standoff you had tucked the ssd into. Yor ssd shouldn't have any curve in it. It should be flat.
Should take motherboard and cpu with integrated graphics, for the boot test moment. Check the boot first before trying to install all components. Bios might need update if you have components from different era.
If you can’t get it to boot. Just return it to micro center and say it was faulty. You will get ur money back. Trust I did this once and I got my money back so all good :)
My man, you have to re-place the RAM sticks. Always use the 2nd and 4th slot away from the CPU when using two sticks, not the 1st and 3rd like you're using here.
I built mine last week and SOOO MUCH wished I recorded it! would’ve been impossible because I was shaking I was SOOO scared about accidentally breaking something after spending 1.8K on it😂
I think you should watch more videos on how to build a PC. You made a lot of mistakes like installing the SSD upside-down but just keep on trying and you will get the PC running trust me. Once you get the hang of it you will be fine.
Ram goes in the grey slots. You did not install the m.2 standoff. No need to clean a brand new CPU. Red light on GPU because it wasn't even plugged into the PSU. The build was painful to watch lol
12900k fits my needs better. I'm mostly wanted to get the computer for video editing. 7800x3d is more of a gaming chip. I wanted the 4070 super in case Nvidia adds any software enhancements I might use in the future, I want to be prepared by already having a GPU that would support it.
